"And today's weather doesn't look that great, a storm of cold votes approaching from the south, up through the north before expiring the deal completely. Back to steve in the studio".

So I'm posting on a whim really and potentially expecting cold votes due to the brand but considering this is £2,349.00 direct via Apple, I'd say this is a great deal.

It's the base Macbook Pro 15" 2017 model.

From what I can see, a saving of £200+ is a good deal surely?

Heat for the opening of the OP alone

Heat for Apple.

Sure do know how to sell heh I’ll vote hot because I’m an Apple lover and I know finding one brand new is rare to have a lower price than Apples

I suppose you get tied up in the expectation of cold votes due to brand snobbery you lose sense of reality.

Normal Apple marketing strategy. Overinflated price will attract the usual suspects.

Hot hot for posting a apple deal and taking a risk

Insane prices.

I have to say I love my MBP but agree they are pricey.. I was the Apple Store the other day and for the hell of it I added all optional extras to basket on the 15" and it came to £4468.98

you only get what you pay for

Following the storm, all the Apples dropped from the trees on to the heads of unsuspecting purchasers, who's concussion lead to a rain of spending from their nearly dry bank accounts.

Tim Cook can now afford to switch from Granny Smith's to Sekai-ichi.

Cheapest currently available, therefore heat added.

Not worth the money anymore, they used to be very stable and secure compared to windows. However hackers and spammers now specifically target Apple products, plus lots of recent issues with build quality, and loads of update issues.

Can also be had for £2078.98 + £4 From Laptops direct with Which trial subscription £1.

What u talking bout Willis! :0 I have 3 MBP's 1 MB and a 27" iMac of varying years and never had an issue with anything all work as well as they ever had (aging battery on 2008 MBP aside) absolutely fantastic pieces of equipment.. build quality is second to none yes they aren't cheap but let's not compare the OS to windows! unless your gaming or on a budget windows is best avoided I have a pc/windows for gaming but with EVERYTHING else Apple absolutely leather Microsoft! its not even a close call..

Sorry, but I do not agree with you on your last comment..it was like that maybe couple years ago. For the price you paying for Mac you can buy much better equipped PC to do the work quicker and better. That's the facts

Meh, I also disagree. In certain circumstances, that's the case. Being a web developer myself, Mac is where I find most comfortable due to the universal compatibility, let's call it that.

So, I get access to Safari, Firefox and Chrome along with the ability to run IE/EDGE on Mac. Windows, I'm restricted due to lack of Safari support. I get the ability to run all browsers rather than being unable to optimize for Safari. Much like I'm restricted to Windows for gaming - it works in several directions.

Windows and Microsoft have still got a long way to go before they fix a lot of the issues plagued with their OS. Don't get me wrong Windows 10 has corrected many of that and I use it on my iMac at home for gaming but by god, battery life is the worst trait of Windows. Sure it's probably more for the OEMs but in my experience no Windows laptop has lasted aslong as my Macbook. Even installing Windows on my Macbook made it last 2 hours compared to the 7/8 I usually get.

The fact I can buy a new Macbook and not worry about bloatware is a plus - obviously, building a machine is different and there's the "Hackintosh" project.

I'm actually in limbo whether to go for this or the XPS 15.

Seriously.. stop being silly! yes for the money you can get higher spec PCs and I have a much higher spec pc then my iMac or MBP's but I game on pc and that's about it really.. i use Logic/premier pro/FC pro/photoshop/autoCAD all the time for recording my own music/scores, photo/vid editing/design and even lower spec Apple systems out perform much higher spec PCs! your falling victim to the thought process that more hardware must equate more performance but that's only really half true so it's not a fact at all it's the opinion of someone who doesn't have to use both regularly..

Interesting. For what sort of tasks using what software?
If you use poorly optimised software on one platform and well optimised on the other then that will make a difference.
If using well optimised software on both then the difference then is usually really about the hardware as the O/S differences don't tend to matter.

Interesting. That's using older Intel/Nvidia platforms and the newer ones offer a significant boost in performance although Apple are releasing an iMac Pro soon I think so a retest would be good.

After owning my Touch Bar MBP since December, I have come to the conclusion that the old keyboard IS better, however to call the new one diabolical is absolutely ridiculous.

Why? Each to their own and all.
The only thing ridiculous here is your reply.

I quite prefer it instead lol.
I was a Windows satisfied user but after switching I can say I absolutely love the MacOS and my Macbook Pro.
Wouldn't change it with an i7 super gaming Windows laptop even if it was cheaper.
