Thanks for posting. Valid as a deal; just a little irritating, as Currys PC World recently had the same generation MacBook Pro with 256GB storage for less than this price. Didn't bite then and still kicking myself!

Oh really?! In which case it might be worth holding out a week or two after all!

How much was it posted for if you don't mind me asking? I was planning on picking this up in store on my way home tonight but not so sure now

That was an end of line clear out, as went out of stock pretty quickly and never came back. The price was good because they put a 20% discount on that model, presumably to clear their stock, ready for newer models.

That makes sense and thanks for the info. Won't bother holding out for that then, but would have liked to be able to get the 256GB model
The 256GB model is currently £999.99. I got it this morning using my employee benefits platform where we get 8% off when buying Currys evouchers. I know most employers have these sort of things now so I'd try that for anyone looking for the 256 version. Meant I got it for £920 in the end.
Link doesn't work for me.
Good find (as in great discount) but I hope it's not the model without the touchbar, it is a truly awful machine, super loud due to single fan design
