Surely you would spend an extra £19 for a brand new one ?

Why would he? For saved £19 he can buy iPhone cover for his refurbished phone...

Dreadful deal.

Well, refurbished products are usually as good as new.

So...

MacBook Pro New: £868 = 802° (very hot deal)

MacBook Pro Refurbished: £849 (+3% Quidco, so £824.50) = -20° (very cold)

...what is an "average" deal ?

Average deal is usually called RRP...

Wasn't the other 'deal' for grey import stock from Hong Kong? :-)

What makes this better than a £500 non-apple lap top? I don't know what anyone would buy this, new or refurbed.

nice-new

Except they aren't. I have purchased two refurbished items from the Apple Store (an ipod classic and a Macbook) and both had to be returned as neither worked properly. Will never buy refurb items from them again.
