8GB RAM & 256 SSD for a pro machine is so bad.

8gb probably ok but yeah 256gb esp for a laptop is horrible. Ok for the Mac mini as you’d just attach external storage

I think I'd just get Air with the updated design to be honest. The cooling isn't as good for heavy users but doubt many would notice and you could use the money saved to upgrade the RAM or SSD.

Speakers are better on this than the Air. The touchbar is quite marmite and has been dropped going forwards. (edited)

Agree people will use this to check emails anyway.

Go for the 512GB if considering this..

Might be a 15” Air later in the year, but won’t be inexpensive as usual.

Unfortunately Apple won’t have the sense to respond to a 26% drop in Mac sales by offering a price cut across the globe.

Add on that these prices were decided when the pound was decently lower!

Picked up one of these and the M2 air in Dec.

Only opened the air so far and managed to get dual display working so can only assume it also works with this model.

Both are good enough for most people. We decided to share the air after the return window closed so the Pro is going up on eBay shortly.
