Not that I know of. I used my 8% percent e Voucher discount from work so even better.
Good reduction in price. It's a shame it's only a 128GB SSD, because my Macbook is struggling with twice that.
128gb not the best
Costco cheaper if they still have any (around £850)
it's a 13 inch. just think it is worth mentioning
Dont go thinking you can just change the SSD on these, it's soldered in to the motherboads on the retina models.

128GB is ridiculously small.
The pro retina is 949 in Costco .
Cheers OP - going to go for this one for my Daughters Xmas / bday combined gift for college . She'll be happy even if my bank balance is sobbing .

can I ask what you use it for? I was thinking 128GB would be enough for me, I wouldn't be storing music or downloading videos or anything. The most memory demanding thing I would need is for some light gaming and I'm trying to figure out if I could get by as I have external storage space for my longer term stuff.

Absolutely, if true.
13" screen is surprisingly not a bad size
Saving only £100
John Lewis will price match plus 2 year guarantee.

I've done exactly that and upgraded from 128GB to 512GB, but it was quite expensive.

The SSD is not soldered on, but you will need a pentelobe screwdriver to unscrew it. Also the SSD models for the Early 2015 model Macbook are very rare, older SSDs are either not compatible or much slower so do your research.

There is a youtube video about upgrading the SSD in an Early 2015 macbook pro.

You would get 1 bone change!
Dual core Broadwell, already out of date, and for £899 !!! only a 128 gb ssd, which are very cheap anyway.
I fail to see why this is a hot deal looking at specs.
This is a great deal. For Apple. Immediate £600 profit for the company for each sold laptop.

I have reserved one to collect form my local store. I will keep an eye on John Lewis and if they price match, I will probably cancel this order and take the 2 year guarantee from them.

It`s a fabulous price for an apple laptop. I mean, people pay the same amount for one of their PHONES on contract! oO

Ummmm, hello, it's apple.....
Still don't understand why the 15inch Pros (as good and reliable as they are) START at £1600. That's the ENTRY one.

Someone is having a giraffe...
It was this price in Costco when I visited last weekend.

Because they know some people will pay it so they can get away with charging that much! Always worth getting a Mac with the uni student discount if possible to save money and get a 3 year warranty as standard.

errr no, it's not about the brand. it's not like buying a designer handbag which carries stuff in the same manner as any other bag where muppets purely pay for a logo.
amongst the things you pay for that aren't related to slavishly following a brand are design, longevity, ease of use, software and OS and so on.

But you ARE paying for the brand. Youre lying to your self if you say otherwise and youre a fool. Compare this deal to a windows laptop and youll get tons better value for money except it will run windows/what ever other OS it has.
I am appalled at the amount of Apple bashing in this deal. Appalled that you all got there before me.
Really? This hole thing about apple vs the rest?
How many of u have iphones
How many of u have nice cars?
How many of u have nice houses?
Get a life
This site is about deals not about the item in question
Its a £100 saving
Simple as that
U dont like it go and moan else were
Yes, but people should be able to voice their opinions, they may or may not convince people otherwise.
Yes everyone is entitled to an opinion but this isnt about opinions
Its about if its a deal or not
Its £100 off the retail price of which makes it a deal
If someone can find it cheaper then yes say so
Maybe some one should make a website called
Hotukopinions
You have to admit they hold their value very well. Expensive to buy, but they don't depreciate as much. Whether that's for any other reason than a self-fulfilling prophecy, who knows, but it is a fact.

It is hot cos £100 off of RRP. If you look at apple specs you will never own one. haha
haha, its a comments section though, if you want to know whether its a deal or not then all we'd need is the vote at the top of the page.
in my opinion, any apple deal is poor value for money and does not necessarily mean its more reliable than a windows laptop.
Also, you may think its just a "nice" thing/laptop and so you're willing to spend extra but the same could go for someone buying a rolex as opposed to a cheaper watch, that kind of person could be said to either be well-off in which case I question why they're on a deals site OR they're the type of idiot that spends more than they can afford blindly.

How about 2560 x 1600 pixels?
Any Windows can do that?
