this was posted earlier without the code.

the code just needs added to the original thread.
No code needed. Go to the deal, see the bottom promotion that says buy 1 get 30% off. Click on it and select all the offers. (No sure which one will be used)

its the 40% one you want to click
Very nice find, have two cheap cable type versions which probably do not look as aesthetically pleasing. Never heard of the brand so fingers crossed quality is decent.
if you want the code:

  • Save 40% each on Qualifying items offered by EgoIggo UK when you purchase 1 or more. Enter code RBSWGAQ5 at checkout. Here's how (terms and conditions apply

but it works just fine selecting it as outlined above (its just under the price on desktops)
Will this be compatible with the MacBook Air as well?
Voted hot, but note that the USB ports are limited to 2TB max.

2015 called, they want their ports back...

On a serious note, the world is changing and soon your average Windows laptop will also be in the same boat. The advantages of USB-C are much better than that of your standard port configuration.

I own, admittedly, a Macbook Pro 15" 2017. Love it.

It also makes things more universal. I can have one cable to charge my Galaxy S8, Laptop and other things.

But yeah, let's just forget about Thunderbolt eh? A... pro.. level... connector.
4K over hdmi is awful

I agree the world is changing but I still maintain it’s a stupid change and unnecessary. It’s more cost saving for them than it is anything else. I’m not anti Apple at all, I have two MacBook pros, an iMac, iPhone 8plus, iPad Pro 10 etc and many more Apple products but I still can’t get my head around the logic of removing connectivity. It’s being forced upon a world that isn’t ready yet. Another 5 years maybe, but not enough usb-c products out there, still a silly amount of the other connections needed as well as not instead of.

Yeah you sound like Tim Cook. Nobody else’s opinion matters.

You're not exactly forced to buy an Apple product, it's just the way it is. It isn't unnecessary, it's needed. A world where I can charge my Macbook via essentially a USB cable that I can then use to charge my phone? I mean, that's pretty needed to me.

You've got the choice to buy legacy machines and hardware. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

The trade off (and logic) is you get a laptop that's thinner, more up-to-date and potentially lighter also. Less mechanical ports to fail too.

Again that’s a Tim Cook line...

The fact you can’t charge your laptop and plug anything into it at the same time without spending even more on accessories on top of a high end price point is a joke.

Also thank you for letting me know I can choose what products I buy. I hadn’t realised...
Has this expired now?
Says code has expired and cannot see any promotions on the product page...
Can't see the code/promotion and manually entering the code doesn't work for me either. Can anyone get this to work?

Euh, the one that match the colour of the MacBook you bought? I see a "gray" and a "silver" one and the MacBook are available in "Silver" or "Space Grey". From the pictures, they look about right but can't really judge how well they'll match until seen in the flesh.
