Macbook Pro i7, 16 GB, 256GB with 10% off by cashback offer. Looks like all the Macs have this offer.

so it comes to £1400.00

while I am looking for offers this is the cheapest one I found. I know there is an Debenhams plus offer. it says only 3 months warranty though. so I think this is better offer than that.

I think it may be a good idea to wait 6 - 8 weeks for the new one to be announced

I am trying my best to also hold out until the 2016 are released. I would also be more inclined to get from Apple Refurb or via CEX that carries a two year warranty.

who's doing the cashback

i'm after the ipad pro 9.7 128gb 4g, any one know of any good deals ?

would 2016 be in the same price range though ? I would expect that to be priced higher than 2015?

2016 will just drive down prices for 2015 in less than a few months. You don't have to get 2016 with latest CPU GPU and thinner design potentially but older models will see decent drop via Refurb and plenty other places.

Apple do seem to have lost the edge on latest-spec hardware. If you have a Macbook in good working order probably better to hold off before ordering a new one:

theverge.com/201…why
"But right now, the Mac section of the guide makes for depressing reading. Apart from the 12-inch MacBook, which was refreshed in April, every single Mac line from the mini to the Pro is designated as "Don’t Buy" because of how long it’s been since Apple updated them.

The Retina MacBook Pro is 442 days into its current cycle, despite refreshes coming every 268 days on average in the past. The Mac mini has gone 657 days since its last update, which was controversial in itself since Apple removed quad-core options and made the product harder to upgrade after purchase. And the Mac Pro, released in December 2013 following much "Can’t innovate any more, my ass"-fueled fanfare? It hasn’t received a single update since then. "This is without a doubt the future of the pro desktop," Phil Schiller said when announcing the Mac Pro on stage that year. Did he mean that this was the precise model Apple expects professional users to use literally forever?"

For the new models they are removing all ports and the keyboard but they will be very slim and light.
Apple do stupid things with their hardware and Microsoft do stupid things with their software; where's my abacus?

Got to be one of the smartest and most accurate comments ever.

Hi OP, care to explain how you get further discounts to 1,400? 1,599 x 0.9 = 1,439.10. Many thanks.

Just FYI to those who hold valid NUS extra cards (shaw academy etc ahem!) you can save £140 on this price from Apple Store direct and get a free set of beats solo 2 wireless headphones. Don't shoot messenger about ethics and morales etc. It worked for me and I'm just sayin..... oO

I saw macbook and my finger went to cold automatically, I lost control of my fingers for a few seconds. How is that even possible? I still don't know the price, for all I know it could be a free give away.
