Macbook USB/SD Hub - Works with new Macbooks £29.99 @ Amazon (Sold by EgoIggo UK and Fulfilled by Amazon)

Found 9th Jan 2018
I was looking around for a hub now I have switched to a Mac (gone are the days of easy hubs like with my old laptop) and found this - reduced from £69.99

According to CamelCamelCamel, this does appear to be the lowest price (previous lowest - about £47 with an average price of £60).

I will come back and comment when mine arrives, but seems to be an absolute steal!

No HDMI or Ethernet. So you may as well just get these little usb-c dongle adapters (I’ve got a few, they work well):…c=1
Not worth the reduced price, never mind the original one for a couple of USB ports and an SD card reader. As Wixter says, there are cheaper alternatives that do the same job.
Also 2Tb limit on these adapters. Not worth it.
£30 for a USB/Card adapter?

Better to get one that is not dedicated in case you upgrade in the future. As others have said more useful would be HDMI or VGA output as well as Power Delivery and USB 3.0. If you don't need SD cards look at this one.
I opted for a generic usb-c thunderbolt hub for £15 plus a thunderbolt 3 extension cable.

Means I can leave the hub on a table with HDD attached then just one cable to the macbook pro which provides the power and all connectivity .

Nothing left dangling off the side now!
