Intrested but the reviews

I know what you mean, but I'm always sceptical about reviews of cheaper tools and people expecting them to be of a higher quality. I had a simular problem to the one described in the reviews with my lidl pillar drill, pully spinning on the shaft, was only down to a loose grub screw. Tightened it up, been perfect 3 years on
Want a pillar drill...as long as it's s bargain *#OBVIOUSLY#*......

But that's pretty slow for a small pillar drill isn't it..doesn't even go down to 3mm holes at that speed... Or have they just quoted the motor speed twice instead of the geared (pulley'd speed)? If so I think I'm in...hadn't noticed the actual chuck was 16mm initially..

And what's with the 16mm masonry spec?? Odd use case for Such a drill but I guess it's just refferring to the chuck size so that's handy for sure..

No stock anywhere remotely near ... shame voted hot anyway

Was one at Wickes a little while back..think it was £30-35...reviews were so so...but for this sort of money, for a DIY type user, really can't go wrong..
