It only loads these other items if you don't read the install notes and deselect them.
Macs never need a cleaner. I am using macs for over 15 years and never ever used anything to clean them and never ever had a need for this. It is only Windows os needs cleaners and tuners all the time....

Rubbish. I checked the contents of MacClean 3 and ran fsevent er and FileMon the app did nothing untoward. So, if you have proof of this app actually installing Malware I suggest you post URL's to pages that show how this Malware gets on to Macs via MacClean.

I've used Mac and Windows PC's for decades and while I have found Malware that found its way on to Windows computers I have never seen a case of Malware of any type on any of the Macs my friends, I and work colleagues have used.

You are either an extremely paranoid Mac OS user or a Windows/Android scare-monger.
only going on what people said over on CNET.

please don't accuse me of scaremongering, I was trying to let people know what others have said.

there is Mac Malware out there , and installing things without looking up other peoples experience is frankly idiotic at best.
