Only £2 donation to the charity is a bit shady considering it’s £30

Only £2 donation to the charity is a bit shady considering it’s £30

Well to be fair, it's £2 more than anyone else donates and £2 more than people would have donated off their own backs, and you could always donate a little extra online or something if you wanted to do more.
I would imagine they'll sell a lot of these countrywide, which will be a sizeable donation.

Actually ..... it was £40 before the discount so even more shadier, all of these products are from boots and just been packaged into a Christmas gimmick promoting a very good charity, just my opinion that they could afford to donate a little more than the £2
£2.00 donation for charity seems a little bit mean

Ironically made with ingredients pumped full of all sorts of crap that may (or may not) end up giving you cancer...
At least there donating, every little bit helps.

Macmillan are here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, inancial and emotional support. So whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you. Boots and Macmillan have been partners since 2009. Since the start of the partnership, Boots have enabled over £17m in fundraising for Macmillan, thanks to the efforts of colleagues, customers and suppliers, while specially trained Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisors and Information Pharmacists have helped people with cancer live better.
Macmillan are a Boots corporate partner, they donate more during the course of the year. They also train their no.7 advisers to understand the needs of someone with a diagnosis and their pharmacists are Macmillan trained.
Doesn’t look too bad. Nice selection of different brands and a (small) donation to Macmillan.
This deal looks amazing! And for a good cause too! X
Thanks for posting, we have added your thread to the Highlights page
50% to Charity then you may have my cash.

A corporate partner? Wow. Never realised watching your loved one die to death was akin to choosing a lip gloss under a tree. Thanks for explaining that to me.

In other news? Boots rip the NHS off. Daily. That isn't under a tree.
Some chemicals and plastic in the name of charity. How lovely.

That all sounds very science-y

Pfft, whatever, be my guest and slather this stuff on, have you read the ingredient list? There was no reason Johnson & Johnson had to pay billions out then...

£2.00 donation for charity seems a little bit mean

The real question is of each £2 donated how much ACTUALLY gets used as charity? Ie. Spent on fat cats wages / admin costs / promo / etc.. i remember watching a documentary a while back on a well known childrens charity and it stated 49% of each £1 actually gets spent by the identified cause.

Boots probz make around 20% Margin total on this, £2 donation is around 20% of their profit at rrp. They had room for more but in reality they probz make £6 margin at this orice givine £2 to macmillan or in reality 1/3 of the profits.
Heat added.
