Click the link to get 3 issues of MacUser for £1.

MacUser usually costs £3.95 in the shops, but you could receive 3 issues for just £1 if you take up this offer! PLUS youll get an iTrip unit absolutely free!

Connect your iPod to your car radio with the iTrip unit (worth £30!)

The iTrip plugs into the headphone socket of the iPod and converts the audio output into an FM radio signal, which can then be picked up by appliances such as car radios.

No batteries required.

A convenient switch on the side of the iTrip makes it a breeze to select a broadcast frequency.

iTrip's DX Mode delivers a background noise level below that of a cassette tape adapter, allowing the music to punch through cleanly.

MacUser is published fortnightly and is packed with extensive reviews of new hardware and software, the latest industry news, expert comment, tricks of the trade and much more.

After you have received your 3 issues, you can cancel the subscription with no obligation or you have the option to continue to subscribe to future issues and save 24% off the cover price.

UPDATE ---- The deal link seems to have expired. But you may still be able to phone MacUser subscriptions for this offer. Try phoning MacUser subscriptions on 0844 844 0063, quoting offer code N0712XPRE and see if it is still available.

I thought the MacUser deal was worth a look because of the free iTrip which I can use with my new iPod Touch!

If you have online banking, just cancel the DD with your bank - no real need to contact Dennis Publishing.

I understand that I can cancel my subscription at any time within the 3 issue trial period and no further money will be debited from my account. The first 3 issues will be mine to keep whatever I decide.

How would I cancel it during the 3 months?

You can cancel at any time by logging into your Dennis Publishing subscription at: subsinfo.co.uk/

Yeah you'll keep it (lol!)

Very nice find =)

Voted hot, great deal.

Does anyone know if the iTrip will work with in the same way with non Apple MP3 Players also?

Nice one, well worth a punt at a quid!

Original Poster

I think the iTrip will only work with iPods and Nanos. See the Griffin site for more information on the iTrip: griffintechnology.com/pro…ck/

should work with any player in theory. The shape of it may stop it working with certain players. But for £1 its worth a try anyway

Does any one know if this is the Itrip for 1st or 2nd generation ipods?
i have a 2nd gen Nano and as far as i know Itrip for 1st gen won't fit it.

Original Poster

Not sure about the generation compatibility. This offer is also available over the phone. You can call MacUser subscriptions on 0844 844 0063, quoting offer code N0712XPRE and ask them what version of iTrip it is.

Please note this offer is limited to UK residents only.

the itrip will work on all ipod with a dock connector (so not the shuffles, but yes to the rest)

it will not work with none apple mp3 players as it connects to the player via apple's ipod dock connector (the little hole in the bottom of the ipod usually used to dock it to a computer)

Ever heard the saying "never look a gift horse in the mouth"? :giggle:

Thanks to the OP! Just bought a new iMac 2.4GHz 24" and need to get my head around the Mac again

Superb

are u sure that it is the griffin itrip they wil give and not some cheapo one??

iTrip is a registered name with griffin technology, that's like saying "free iPod" and sending you a knock off.
they could, but I highly doubt it as it's illegal.

Anyone know when we will receive the Itrip?

just wondered 'coz the post mentions that it plugs into the headphone port? it should plug into the usb socket???

although its not mentioned on the site itself??? for couple pound ill take the risk watheheck!

whoops, I clicked on expired by mistake. I hope that doesn't mess anything up (I'm new here )

Just checked out the site direct & they are offering a copy of iSale software which allows you to setup ebay auctions

secure.widearea.co.uk/den…tml

Maybe more useful for those who don't have an ipod!

Oh and thanks to the OP

This needs unexpiring, will this work with a iPod shuffle?

Original Poster

Can a mod unexpire this. It was expired by accident by another poster. The offer is still current.

Original Poster

The iTrip will not work with a Shuffle because it connects to the ipod dock connector. So it will only connect to dockable iPods. The Shuffle connects only via USB. The offer is for the Griffin iTrip and not a cheap alternative. I received a html email about this offer and it had a picture of the griffin iTrip on it. The image is posted on the web here: elr.dennisnet.co.uk/sub…gif

The email also states that you should wait 28 days for delivery of the iTrip.

Hope this answers your questions.

Excellent...voted hot!

excellent find, thanks op, voted hot:thumbsup:

Sorry I made a mistake in the original post. Should have said that it plugs into the dock port, which also provides power to the iTrip.

Just subscribed, do people think we'll actually receive the iTrip?

voted hot baby, has any one got the Itrip yet.

When inputing my 8 digit bank account number and submitting, I get a "invalid account number" message.

Anybody any ideas please

Nice one essexmate!

I used to get this, but I ended up with loads of unopened copies after they stopped their cover disks and I got broadband at home. Used to get them to renew for around £15-£20 a year, which wasn't bad for a fortnightly sub.

You can also get three trial issues with iSale ebay auction tools ]here, prefer the iTrip personally.

The iTrip is a special offer to tie into the MacLive Expo show in London (25th-27th October at Olympia).

Android, you can phone MacUser subscriptions or print out the direct debit form if you are having problems completing online.

Sorted now, cheer essexmate
