IGN 8 out of 10- "An outstanding modular controller that is ruined by its $99 (£89.99) price tag.
The MLG Pro Circuit Controller is one of the most versatile, innovative and well constructed controllers ever made."

PC mag 4 stars out of five- "The Mad Catz MLG Pro Circuit Controller isn't cheap, but with a solid build and extensive customization options, it's one of the best gamepads you can get for the PlayStation 3."

Want a controller you can customise on a whim? Do you want a PS3 controller which is more like a 360 controller? Well, look no further, this bargain and I mean bargain will fulfil all your needs whether you are a tournament player or just want a controller which isn't a dualshock 3.

This is typically 60-80 quid. This was on sale 2 weeks ago, and the price shot straight back up again.
Fpr those that missed it, or wanted a 2nd realising how great the quality was, here's your chance.

The deal 2 weeks ago Only £1.19 more than the last deal, but still a hugely reduced price over everywhere else.

I bought a second controller at the increased price just due to how great quality this controller is, though luckily have been able to get a refund of the difference today.

how did yu get a refund of the difference?

is this really worth getting? I only play at home and already own two dualshocks

Also is it wired

I've never been a fan of 3rd party controllers but this control is amazing, very well designed, on par with an official controller. It's completely customizable, so you can swap parts around such as the sticks and dpad.

It's far more comfortable to hold than the DualShock3. I like the DS3, but since getting this I really have trouble going to back to DS3.

I bought it for £21.XX on Saturday. Will be sending an email to ask for the difference.

Went to help>Support>Live chat.
Told them I can either return it and reorder or have them refund the difference, so they refunded the difference.

I'm glad you pointed that out. I'm also a bit gutted you pointed that out... Heheh.

Voting hot, because it is. Just a bit disappointed about the fact because I have my PS3 tucked up and would need to leave the shelf open to use a wired controller.

is it wired?

does this make you a better gamer tho? what does this controller have over the DS3. because I dont really like the xbox360 pad or is that where I'm going wrong?

Looking at someone's review on Amazon they say its wired.

Stick with the creakies

Should be able to use on a PC with the 'motionjoy' software if it works the same as a normal PS3 controller - I use my stock playstation controller to play trials on the PC.

it's cheaper and it's fully customisable

--------------

this will go up in price tomorrow morning now that it is hot again - it did it last time - though after a bit of time it went back down again - i suppose it will follow that pattern until it sells out

Argh - just cancelled order - it is WIRED!!

Of course they are wired it improves the response times that's why they are competition ones. I will get one when I next get paid

Can this be used on PC on the fly?
Or I have to use Xinput wrapper for DS3? ( forums.pcsx2.net/Thr…ler )
a far superior software than the blasphemy motioninjoy in any ways.

ordered it last week at this price - this is a fantastic controller - comes very close to beating my favourite ONlive controller. get a lot for the money - carry bag - extra analog sticks (convexed and dipped), weights - the cable is also strong fabric and now plastic for great durability.... feels very premium - only 1 drawback -- no Rumble (very silly they didnt add this as is corded)

Ordered. Wired isn't an issue for me really, no recharging required, seems a fair trade off for having the cable there.

I bought one on the last deal and it's a decent controller but I prefer the standard official ps3 pads ,with the only thing that is great about these is it has Xbox style sticks with the slightly indented top which are easier to use than the ps3s rounded ones.
For a third party controller tho its very good and at this price its defiantly worth it although I can't believe anyone paid £90 for it
Also the wire is very long so no need to worry too much about it reaching

I'm a southpaw/leftie & some games still don't include a leftie option, so can i switch the analog sticks over to allow the left stick to play as the right & vice versa?, or will it just be the same either way?

lol at the RRP

360 one is Up there.

Hmmm tempted as for one I prefer wired controllers but I want it to be as close to the official pad as possible as currently use a ps2 pad with usb connection for pc but its a pain to just plug in xbox pad for a few modern games but if this works(yes I know its PS3) I can retire my old ps2 pad.

@ Tommy_V:

No you can't. The only thing you can do is inter-change the d-pad and analogue stick on the left hand side. This won't help you though, all it will do is make it more xbox style layout, which I prefer. Hope that helps

Within Steam ?

I've got trials on uplay not steam, however I've just installed Steam this second as it goes - when SFIV has downloaded (on tethering, so likely in a LONG time), I shall report back :).
The motionjoy software emulates a 360 pad, so I expect so.

Mine does not operate correctly under steam/ big picture/ even after setting controls within steam settings (windows 8.1)

Meh. I'd rather get the converter to use an XBOX controller, its the most comfty

I'm on Windows 7 - only used it for trials so far - so I may regret going for SFIV on steam because it was a few quid cheaper!

Hopefully yours is OK

I hate the dualshock controller. tempted by this for the used ps3 i bought just now.

My hands are too big for the ps3 controller and much prefer the xbox layout and size. This looks to be in the same ball park so purchased. Also much cheaper than the official one. Thanks OP.

You mean it's enclosed? You'd be better to keep the PS3 in an open space, it needs ventilation.

You might want to consider this one -

http://direct.asda.com/SC-1-Wireless-Sports-Controller---PS3/003795659,default,pd.html

I offloaded my 360 a little early in anticipation of the XBONE but have decided against getting one now and find I cannot use the PS3 controller. This arrived today and so far I have found it to be amazing. Sold out at ASDA but if you keep your eye on Amazon and the like you'll find it for under £20 soon enough

Hot for the price and ordered the MLG as been looking at getting a 360 style controller for the PS3 for a while now and at this price it's a steal
Don't mind about this not being wireless as my controllers are usually plugged in to keep them charged up anyway.

Cheers OP
