Mad Max . ps4 and Xbox one £33.75 @ the game collection

£10p cheaper than the next cheapest simply games. Ideal for those who missed the rakuten code deals or prefer the games collector.

More I see of this the more interesting it looks. Seems a decent price for a new release but might not been the wisest move to release it the same day as MGS the phantom pain.

Descend into the post-apocalypic wasteland of Mad Max, where ammo is sparse and the key to survival is the possession of a car. Take control of Mad Max and stay alive amongst the savage gangs of bandits who roam the desolate desert. Use vicious on-ground and vehicular combat to ensure your own survival.

Following the theft of his iconic Interceptor, Max must align himself with a gifted, but peculiar, mechanic named Chumbucket and others to build the ultimate war vehicle as he works to escape from the dangerous Wasteland.

GAME FEATURES
Be Mad Max - Become the iconic post-apocalyptic warrior, crafting and upgrading Max’s equipment and weapons to survive by combining melee combat, gunplay and tactical techniques. Gamers must make difficult decisions as they work towards the goal of escaping The Wasteland.
Immersive Primal Wasteland - Explore the gritty, dynamic world while braving the treacherous landscapes, hostile weather patterns and deadly gangs of marauders.
Trash is Treasure - Every scrap that’s scavenged is important and can be utilized to upgrade and enhance equipment, weapons and vehicles. Gamers raid enemy encampments to gain access to valuable resources.
Survive the Open-World Landscape - Staying alive isn’t easy. Players clash with deadly factions and gangs through scores of dangerous side-missions and quests in the dynamic open-world full of exploration.
Intense Vehicular Combat - Engage in dynamic inter-vehicular combat, taking down enemy vehicles with a range of powerful weapons. Car combat is entirely physics-based, so no two battles are ever the same.
Build the Ultimate War Machine - Players design, customize and upgrade their ultimate combat vehicle—the Magnum Opus—choosing from different car bodies and a slew of upgrades including mounted weapons, armor and engines to survive another day.

It got a very good reception at gamescom. I've seen MGS for around this price (ok it didn't last long) does that mean it's going to be a stinker? Most places still have it around £40. Always find it ironic that gamers complain about the price of games, but when a game has a cheapish preorder price peopel are all gloom and doom!

Strangely I've seen more peopel on here excited for this than MGS

this I pretty normal for the game collection, can't say what the game will be like but they sell most games at that price close to the release date

from all I have seen and heard, it's going to be great. Shadow of Mordor (from same guys) was a sleeper hit, so I will wait for a few reviews for sure

i hope not, but the game is obviously complete and ready to go now, if the developers thought it was a great game they might up the RRP price

The RRP is standard it's just some sites are selling it cheaper so I really don't understand what you are going on about. First time I've ever seen anyone complain that the price is too low

there are lot of retailers selling this at a higher price, you can buy from them and get a peace of mind that the game is good because you paid more.

Not complaining, i want this game to be as good as anyone does,

Most pre-orders for the game will already of been taken at the £40.00 mark, why would they feel the need to reduce the price to £33.75

Could be that everyone is preordering MGS5 as its out on same day, hence the price to get some out of the door.

Hope its good and does well, all the previews I've seen look pretty great.

Personally got this pre-ordered and really looking forward to it. Watched 3 Live streams of various parts of the game and looks great for all Mad max fans.

I sorry still don't understand your point, as I have said and others it's what game collection, simply games at a few other retailers do to get sales they have it cheaper before release. Just amazed that some one doesn't like it that a game can be gotten cheaper. If you shop around you can get most new releases for under £40

Edited by: "voyager123" 20th Aug 2015

I don't think they price the games on quality. I doubt anyone from Thegamecollection.net have played it... I guess the Preorders are low and this is an attempt to boost them as some money is better than no money.

TGC have been good to me in the past. I'll cancel my SimplyGames order and go with them for a 10p saving TCB of 3.03% now also.

It's published by Warner Bros which is the same as Shadow of Mordor, but that was developed by Monolith, this is developed by Avalanche Studios who developed Just Cause 1 and 2 (the New York team is developing Just Cause 3).

Mad Max looks fantastic so far though!

I have a feeling it might be a sleeper-hit of this year, much like Mordor was last year. It's not on many people's radars but all previews have been pretty positive.

Its just that the game is now 100% finished, if it was this price 6 months ago i would have pre-ordered, Reviewers probably have a copy to review,

might be inside info to drop the price a little before release to get more orders before reviews come out that the game is a bit pants and it drops to £25 before end of September

Your right I don't why I thought it was devloper of shadow of mordor as well. As most previews have said it's a lot like just cause with vehicle combat and a mad max theme

Wow. Even if it did, you've only lost £8.75 for a months worth of gaming.

I really don't understand your logic, so you would of happily paid this price 6 months ago but you won't now? It must just be me

if you're so concerned watch some damn gameplay videos. The ignorance of some folk these days..

Logic is, its this price for a reason its going to be a 6/10 game, time will tell i hope im completely wrong,

i hope its just the MGS factor being released same day, that they are encouraging more orders for this

You still don't understand most other places are selling it the same price if not more than MGS. So by what you said MGS should have a lower score. Price has never had anything to to with the quality of a game

just seen game-play videos

looks very repetitive, reminds me of twisted metal games

Stop feeding the troll guys!

Don't let price fool you, PES 2016 is available for £30 and thats going to be one of the games of the year

I was watching some gameplay on this for the first time yesterday and thought it looked quite interesting. That's a great price. I'm going to wait on reviews first tho and might just wait until it gets even cheaper. Already swamped with too many RPG at the moment and there's too many new games in the next couple months.

While it seems fairly obvious that Mad Max might be trumped by Kojima's [hopefully] "Magnum Opus" (see what i did there?) in the sales stakes (helped alone by the fact MGS V is on PS3/360 too) the really fascinating sales battle will be on November 10th: Fallout 4 or Rise of the Tomb Raider? Oooh couldn't call it, although being a PS4/PS3 gamer my choice has already been made for me, lol

Ordered, thanks op.

Don't forget 3.15% topcashback

Do they charge on order or dispatch?

Indeed, all PS4 gamers out shopping that day will pick up Fallout 4, so big sales there, then as Fallout 3 was a huge game on the 360, I imagine alot of 360 upgraders will pick up the sequel to continue the series.
I think Square are going to be hoping the MS cheque they got covers the missed sales, I'm sure they would have asked for more for temp exclusivity if they'd known that Fallout 4 was to launch on same day.

Still competition is good for the consumer and we'll all get to play them both eventually!

Fairly excellent from my experience. They are also very active on Twitter if you have any issues.

Looks a bit batmanish in the fighting department

Whatever happened to game demos?
Developers not putting out a simple demo is very alarming. There isn't faith in the actual product now a days. Day one patches being normal just isn't right.
