I had this mouse, loved it. Purchased from Amazon, unfortunately the right click died on its 13th month

Oh... that's unfortunate, did you return it under warranty?
Poor reviews on Amazon. I was tempted until I read those

fantastic mouse

You mean Rat!
Got one of these with a set of FREQ 7 Headphones. Really good mouse(rat) - don't know about longevity as I only use it for the occasional game and the rest of the family are not allowed!
Why can't mice be customised so that you can replace the mouse buttons? Whenever I've had a mouse fail it's been the left click double clicking when it shouldn't. Puts me off buying expensive mice.
I got this mouse and honestly its ok. But If I had a choice of buying it again, I wont. I was desperate at the time, and I got this for £30 (a while back). I ended up getting a cheaper mouse (£14 (it was a replica of a different mouse) which was better.

Its good overall.

I had one of these but the sensor started messing up a couple months later and it came to a point where every few minutes the sensor would stop working until I lifted the mouse and slammed it down. To be fair I have no clue if it was genuine since it was bought on eBay (from a Chinese seller but not undercutting other sellers).

Mine just needs a blast of air (or breath) when it stops tracking.
I do like this mouse though, really comfortable and the weight (when fully loaded) feels sturdy.

actually, I liked it so much, when the actuator on the right mouse button stopped clicking, i found a donor mouse and resoldered a new one on.
So i know that doesn't scream "quality", but it is a damn good mouse

Get a mouse with a common switch and you can replace them super easy.

A lot of mice use the Omron D2FC-F-7N switch and often the double clicking is due to a small piece of metal inside getting bent. Replacement switches are about 20p each on eBay.

Open the mouse up, find the switch and open it. Take out the old bit of metal and put in the new one. Put everything back together and you are done. Did this to my steelseries sensei and it is as good as new.
Had the Rat 7 and now got the Rat 7 MMO, love these mouse. Really comfortable, feel solid in the hand. The sensor could be picky what surface it worked on.
Damn, missed this deal...

Most expensive mice use the same Omron switches, which can be bought off EBay for pennies and if you don't mind doing a bit of simple soldering they can be replaced in under an hour.
