We had already got what we thought was a good deal, but yesterday got an extra third off what we had already been quoted, saving a few hundred pounds.

Thanks will have a look

Up to 70% off their over the top list prices
Edited by: "Darzen" 3rd Mar 2013

Carpet right are a rip off. Compare their underlay prices with online sites, they are 1/3 of the price.

I've been waiting for their sale for ages.
Anyone know when DFS are having their sale?
I really miss the MFI ones! (_;)

List prices seem OTT, to say the least. Anyone know somewhere better to buy cheap carpet/fitting prior to selling a house? I'd be grateful for some ideas. Thanks.

Online practically every site is cheaper

What! Are you saying these sales aren't genuine. I'm appalled. If we are lucky they may extend it so we don't miss out.:{

The standard prices are a rip off but 70% off the right range can make it cheap. I bought underlay enter than their top of range one for £3/sqm off eBay last year and grippers for £1/m. Saved me £900 for a really decent carpet - used their fitter who was reasonably priced (i knownthe fitting isnt part ofnthe contact and he's technically independent) and glad I did as they caused some accidental damage which was put right after the branch manager intervened.

If, like us, you already had a deal with Carpetright, and didn't know about the sale this weekend, you could easily miss out on saving a substantial amount of money by not calling them this weekend. If only one person saves money in this way I will consider this post well worth it.

It is 100% true that the list prices are inflated, and we didn't pay them, It is also 100% true, and always will be, that negative comments without proposing an alternative are 100% useless. If you can find a better deal, try posting it. I think you will find that is what this web site is actually for.

Overpriced.Cold.

Right then, here is a challenge for all of you! Find me a better deal by 4.30 today, before I have to go to Carpet Right, as I have shopped around and the sale price is competitive.

I got a very good remnant last year which was 80% wool 20% Polyester, most of the remnants are 100% man made though. Buy underlay from Internet, big savings to be had, some offers at Carpetright during utter madness are good value and you have the backup of local store if things go wrong with the carpet or if their fitters makes a balls up! The last 4 carpets I've had while refurbishing in the last 6 months 1 carpet came from them and the other 3 from Burts Online Remnants, who I can say have been excellent carpets at a bargain price and fast delivery. 4m x 4m felt back living room carpet delivered for £70
It certainly isn't going to be axminster pure wool 10 yr guarantee stuff but if you want something cheap for a rental property or a house sale it'll be ok.

I went this weekend and the sale was still on. They claimed the carpet I wanted was £45 sq.m. I don't believe it!

Price for my stairs and landing, supplied and fitted was £410 which works out at £30 per sq.m. I walked away.
