Ya better off getting the humble bundle this month
_Blackie_30 m ago

Agreed. But not everyone wants to subscribe on that

I thought you could subscribe for one month and cancel - keeping that month’s games... so This, God Eater 1&2 and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (along with whatever else is unveiled in April) for ~£9($12). Or am I wrong?

I’m a monthly subscriber and have never tried that but I thought that is how it worked?

You are correct - you can subscribe for one month and then unsubscribe.
Along with the base game, the Humble Monthly sub will get you one of the DLC's - so I'd advise anyone wanting to get the game at this moment in time to go the Humble route.

I could be wrong but I think that’s how it works. Never tried it myself as I bought a years worth back when the £ was doing ok against the $ at the beginning of the year and it worked out something like £7 per month which I was happy to pay.

I’ve just finished this having had it as part of the humble bundle this month and thought it was pretty decent.

Not going to win any awards (unless it’s sound track) but found it a bit of fun - same kind of league as the first Watch Dogs for me.... and the DLC you mentioned was he best part imho made you think how much more the game could have been if they didn’t go down the rinse repeat road that most open world games do!
Very good price, thank you @_Blackie_

Despite being considered a subscription service, there's no real commitment as you can cancel anytime, with no hassle or difficulty to the process. I do it every month just before the next month's games are announced, just in case they don't interest me.

it is completely broken and how it was passed for release is confusing. i have never played a game with so many glitches even if some are funny. just glad i didn't pay full price for it

Thanks for the quick review. The digital deluxe (with season pass) is on sale at Amazon for £10.59 - given that the dlc is probably the best bit, a pretty good price.

Then again I'm also probably in for the humble monthly, so I'm torn. Such a lot of time wasted over the price of 3 beers lol

Also quick mention, the Family Kick Back dlc which was pre-order is 60p on Kinguin, or a couple squids on cdkeys if I recall.

No worries @robespeare I genuinely enjoyed the game - it surprised me. I played it for 36hrs and it crashed to windows just the one, the glitches people are talking of were in no more abundance than any other open world game I’ve ever played, the same sort of stuff like GTA, The Witcher 3, Watch Dogs, Far Cry 3 etc - nothing game breaking.

The two things I will complain about are 1. Performance - I don’t have the worlds most powerful PC (i5-6400, 16gb ram, 8gb gtx 1070 with ssd) but it can handle most games really well at 1080p (usually well over 60fps on my 144hz monitor) but this game seemed to struggle from time to time - yet again nothing game breaking but noticeable. And 2. I guess it’s the nature of the beast with open world games but it did get a little repetitive- I played 36hrs with one of the dlc - I could have easily played 40hrs+ with the quests given but they were the same rinse repeat affair so I gave up.

Overall though for the money it is right now (talking my language comparing to beer) it’s well worth the price. Decent enough mob style story, good gun play, ok driving, excellent setting and sound track but feels like a poor port more than anything.

The “sign of the times” DLC is very good though - it changes up the gameplay a little and puts you in more interesting situations - it doesn’t particularly fit in seamlessly with the main story but well worth the 2hrs stint that it is!

The one time the humble bundle monthly bundle is worth the purchase. essentially £3 a AAA title plus at least 8 more unlocked in a few weeks.
