Mafia II (PC Download) £3 (With Code) @ Green Man Gaming (Steam)

Found 20th Sep 2012
Mafia II is currently £3.74 (75% Discount), £3 if you use the code GMG20-27J4Z-8NXHO at checkout on Green Man Gaming

Registers on Steam!

The DLC (Jimmy's & Joe's Adventure's) are £2.02 each with the code, not supposed to be as good as the standard single player but could be worthwhile for anyone who has already played through and enjoyed the single player campaign:

greenmangaming.com/s/g…ta/
greenmangaming.com/s/g…re/

Was on sale for the same price at Gamersgate (but without the extra 20% off with code) about a week ago, now on sale at Green Man Gaming for the same price for anyone who missed it!

Brilliant single player campaign, not quite the sandbox adventure people were hoping for but the story, music and graphics are amazing.

Born the son of a poor immigrant, Vito is a beaten down Italian American who is trying to escape the life of poverty that consumed his childhood. It was on the streets that Vito learns that joining the Mafia is the only route to wealth and respect for people of his standing. Wanting to escape the life of hardship that his father led, he dreams about becoming a “Made Man.”

A petty criminal his whole life, Vito, along with his childhood friend, Joe, will descend into the world of organized crime. Together, they will work to prove themselves to the Mafia as they try to make their names on the streets. Starting with low-level jobs like robbery and stealing cars, Vito and Joe escalate quickly up the Mafia family ladder... but the life as a wise guy isn’t quite as glamorous as it seems.

Features:

Action Packed Gameplay: White-Knuckle car chases, visceral hand to hand combat and intense gunplay – It will take all that and more to be a Made Man.
Epic Gangster Story: Inspired by iconic mafi a lore, the compelling characters and cinematicpresentation will pull players into the allure and impossible escape of life in the Mafia.
Immersive World and Period: Enter the world of Empire Bay – World War II is raging in Europe and the architecture, cars and music and clothing all echo the period. As time passes, hot rod cars, 50s fashion and some of the era’s best music refl ects the birth of a cool new time – the golden age of the American Gangster.
Soundtrack Reflects the Mood of the Era: Players will be immersed in vintage America as Mafia II features tracks from some of the 1940’s and 50s most influential artists.

Apologies for stupid question, but can I play this okay on my Dell Inspiron 7010? Its fairly new with an i3 380 and 4GB RAM, gets a Windows Experience Index rating of 5.0, but of course it doesn't have a separate graphics card.

games may run fine on a laptop (dependant on minimum specs) but are not or supported designed to run on them...its just a case of testing & hoping for the best

"Laptop versions of these chipsets may work, but may run comparatively slower. Standalone cards that are installed in vanilla PCI slots (not PCIe or PCIx or AGP), such as some GeForce FX variants, will perform poorly.
Integrated chipsets such as the ATI Xpress and the NVIDIA TurboCache variants may default to settings that are higher than what would be optimal for them. Graphics settings can be lowered to improve performance."

I think you can download a free demo on Steam. I would suggest trying that first to see how it runs on your machine before buying if you're worried.
Ordered, heat added, thanks.
The 20% off code works on the DLC too. Just got Joe's Adventure for £2.02. Don't normally go for DLC but I enjoyed the game so much, this might just be worth it.
Help needed!! Bought Joe's Adventure. Put the key into Steam. Worked fine. Recognised it as Joe's Adventure okay. There's no separate entry for Joe's Adventure in my games list but I thought, fine. It will be there somewhere in the main game now. Fired up the main game and......nothing....
Opened Downloadable Content and it tells me I have no downloadable content. Derrr???
I can ask Steam what's going on but I thought I'd ask my fellow HUKDealers first.
Thanks
Always wanted to play this so heated!
Now £14.99 / £12 with code
