MAGFORMERS construction sets foster brain development through fun and educational exploration. Each set contains various pieces in simple geometric shapes: triangles, squares, rhomboids and many other shapes that can easily connect only using the power of the built-in magnets. With high quality, durable construction and intelligent magnetic design, the possibilities are endless!

How Magformers work?A magnet has a positive and negative pole. The opposite poles of the magnet attract each other while the same poles of the magnet repel each other. The neodymium magnets which are encapsulated within all the edge surfaces of Magformers make Magformers rotate to any direction and connect each other regardless of their position when two Magformers are brought together.

Hi everyone. Thanks for your comments. Just to echo what user njerman says, Magformers are VERY high quality. Our brand has a 100% global safety record - unlike cheaper copy products sold online which, sadly, caused serious injury to a child in the USA last year. This strict adherence to making the best quality toys we can, does push up our rrp, but as parents ourselves we will NOT cheapen the product and affect safety and quality. Please keep an eye out for hot deals on our website though as we will add more products in five days' time. John Kelly, Head of Marketing, Magformers UK Ltd.

This stuff normally very expensive so worth stocking up, the imitations have much weaker magnets than the originals and is frustrating as more complex structures collapse due to the poor magnets in the imitations
Also these make great gifts and it looks like you spent a fortune!!!

Bought mini house and pastel for my almost 4 y.o. girl! Thanks a lot, heat added!
By far the most played with toy in my house. Kids love it, I hate the cost. Will bite and get more from this. Construction and emergency sets. 4 sets of wheels, 2 rectangles and 4 trapezoids. Should give them more options.

I haven't seen this before, but am certainly intrigued - I guess my main reluctance is, as you say, the high cost for add-ons once we've bought into the first starter set. Would you say this is better than the typical Duplo/Lego sets etc (that I certainly grew up with and loved!)?
Would never trust the cheap ones with my kids, incase they broke and swallowed the magnets.
Great find and ordered,thanks
I just bought 1 of each set, my 2 young ones love these and a great price! Thankyou!

We have duplo, mega blocks and regular Lego.
The Magformers in my younger son’s case 4.5yo is his go to toy. He loves his magnets.
Even my 7yo loves to play with them too, especially as a construction team.
We started with a 14piece basic set, then added a 18 piece kit and then a 41 piece set cheap from Costco before Christmas.
So far with only squares, equilateral triangles and 6 isosceles triangles and one pentagon they have heaps of fun.
Mileage will vary per kid but they get more use than a £100 Pj Mask Hq play set or several Paw Patrol vehicles inc paw patroller and boat.
Ordered the house set - good price and both my kids (10 and 5) enjoy playing with these.
Note that you won't get an order confirmation until the next day but will get a payment confirmation, I was concerned about this but they have just phoned me to tell me that is how they operate.

Thanks for that John. I've bought the set for my 2 year old grandson (he's already building with plastic Meccano). I hadn't heard of Magformers until this post so am looking forward to watching him play with the set.
Ordered a couple of sets, thanks op, it sounds like good stuff, heat added
Good find, ordered for my just turned 3 year old.

Agreed my 3 year old go to toy is Duplo, they love the Paw Patrol stuff but they spend more time with Duplo. At that age the less restrictions the better, therefore creative toys will always win out. I like these magformers so do the kids but they don’t offer the end playability factor that a Duplo, meccano or Lego build eventually provides. I see these as more of a 3D puzzle/jigsaw than a toy.

Heat though as these prices are excellent. They are ridiculously expensive.

My little ones (twins) both get bored stupid within a few seconds of these magformer toys. I've seen a few given as presents too. IMHO there isn't enough pieces in any set to create anything very much different.

Maybe if you had lots of sets it would be different, but that would cost a vast amount of money.

Just my experience....not looking for an argument with anyone!!

Sorry OP.....

Buy lego!!! I've had 3 children of my own, and used to foster. Magformers are too expensive imho. Lego is waaaay cheaper in comparison, and that's saying something, because lego/duplo isn't cheap either.

But I currently have almost never used sets of magformers under sofas/bits in various toyboxes etc....if anyone wants them, drop me a message....

So yes, if you're asking me, buy lego!!

Every kid is different.
I have heaps of Lego and many other toys. Both my boys 4&7 are asking for more magnets for their birthday’s in the next 2 months. We probably do have about 60-70 pieces by now, built up from deals and cheaper sets. Which I’m sure does make a difference.
The initial 18 piece set still got played with loads.
good deal. ordered

Are you the manufacturer or a distributor?
Out of interest, how did the child get injured?

My daughter loves the magnetic blocks like these so I might get a couple of sets ordered to bulk up her bag of bits.
Hi @rickybd - in the USA a mum bought a poor quality copycat product on a global online marketplace. The child broke a piece easily, the magnets came out, and he ate them. Very sad. This has never happened with authentic Magformers. Unfortunately, the UK press did mention Magformers - which is incorrect.
Oos on the cheaper vehicles
Thanks ordered the house
We’ve got some.... I don’t think it holds together that well to be honest, the cars fall apart easily. Still, a good price is a good price.... heat added.

I agree. Don’t hold well together

I agree. More pieces should be included
My 2 sons love Magformers. The eldest actually “draws” with them, making shapes, rockets, cars etc by lying them on floor next to eachother. Great STEM toy. They both love duplo and lego aswell and this toy compliments these toys.
The cheap copies of these are always being recalled for safety, so I stick with magformers, which my three year old loves.

Gutted I missed the sale!
