This is what a lot of chip shops use and its delicious. Its the best gravy you can get in my opinion and I doubt you'll find it cheaper than this.

The one I got delivered this week is use by 08 2015 so there's plenty of shelf life left on these.
Its easy to make, just follow the simple instructions on the label and use a bit of common sense.
The label on mine says it makes 26 litres not 30 litres as shown on the picture, it is however still 2 Kg.

If anyone knows a quick way of making this (without simmering, mixing, re-mixing etc) then please let me know. It goes black in the microwave, too thin on the stove, it's a chuffin nightmare. I just want some quick gravy for me chips without 10 minutes of faffing about.

Oh, I bought this for £10 a few mnoths ago, and there was about a year left on the box. So this will probably be 'old' stock they are getting rid of before they can't sell it. This box will make about a bathfull (i.e. to the top) of gravy.

I mix it with water and make the paste then add boiling water from the kettle. must be as it's boiled straight away but great if u only want enough for two. works every time. good luck.

Do you normally measure liquids in bathfulls?

Maggi prefer to use litres, of which this states it makes 30. Unless you like your gravy REALLY thin, you must have the smallest bath in the world!

You are clearly forgetting I am a hedgehog, although a massively fat one. My bath is precisely 30 litres.

My local charges £1.25 for a small carton of gravy. Those milkers are milking no more from me!

I AM A HEDGEHOG, AND I SHALL NOT BE MILKED!!!
