Description

Send your lantern soaring to celebrate New Year, Weddings, Birthdays, Halloween, Bonfire Night, Diwali or any other special event. It will fly for up to 20 minutes and can rise over a mile in the sky - where it will still be visible all around!

Traditionally used in Chinese and Thai celebrations, these are a beautiful and fascinating way to light up the sky that's becoming increasingly popular throughout the world for any kind of event. Flying Lanterns are traditionally known as 'Khom Fay' or 'Khom Loy' in China and have been used for nearly two thousand years. It was believed that wishes written on lanterns would rise up to the heavens and come true.

The Sky Glow Flying Lantern is made from flame-retardant, bio-degradable materials and the frame is made from Bamboo - a wood that is quickly replenished. A quieter, gentler alternative to fireworks, flying lanterns are the safe, simple and perfect way to create an amazing visual display in the sky!

There are articles in loads of local papers with people describing strange lights moving silently across the sky and its ALWAYS one of these things! Why are people so flipping thick?! :-D

if anyone saw Harry Hill tv show this past week - it was class when a woman in a cooking at home show set one of these lanterns off, as the climax to the 'meal' eaten in the cars of her guests - it fell onto her and had to be put out. Wish there was a clip somewhere of that show to watch again )

Our local papers are repeatedly full of stories about "strange silent orange UFOs that fly in groups and then one by one fly off so fast that they seem to just disappear!" Like duh?

Though the best story of the past year was the guy who found a used flying lantern in his garden and the spooky thing was, and this is fantastic, "I bought my mate Dave one as a Christmas present and he let it off 40 miles away and it landed in my garden!" What an amazing coincidence!? It would, of course, be a less amazing story if they were produced in huge numbers in China and repeatedly turn up as bargains on HUKD ;-)
