The Magicshine MJ-808 is the perfect companion for any cyclist this winter, being equally suited for use on both commutes and night time trail riding. The 900 lumen P7 LED from SSI throws out a truly stunning beam of white light comparable to that of a car headlight. There are three modes to choose from, high, low and flashing.

Providing the power is a high capacity Li-ion battery pack which can be mounted to the top tube or elsewhere on the bike using velcro fastening tabs and provides over 3 hours of use on full brightness. Battery levels are indicated with the LED tail switch using green light to indicate full charge and red to show low battery.

Attaching the MJ808 using the universal O-ring system couldn't be easier and allows for rapid mounting and removal. There are two different sized O-rings provided to cater for different sized handlebars.

"Thought that some might be interested in this one dayer from Maplin. Magicshine MJ-808, £49.99. Appaerently there is some issue with reliability on these, which is where your friendly local retailer could come in handy."

This is a good point, assuming that Maplins are happy to honour a warranty. Much better than buying from dealextreme, I suspect.

Voted hot.
