Poor deal, Cider is cheap as anyway. Saving of maybe 30-40p

At least you resisted the temptation to have it delivered like everything else from Tesco's is today.........well done!

yeah my local stopped selling magners and is now selling bulmers maybe bit cheaper ?

I've had 3 separate Tesco Booze Section managers tell me this now. Bulmers is the same brew as Magners but way cheaper. marketing, pure and simple. Get the kids thinking it's cool and charge the earth. £1.35/pint a bargain? I was getting Budweiser lager from Asda for 74p/pint at Xmas.

same with most things u pay for the NAME!

Untrue, Bulmers is inferior. Heinz also make tesco value beans but they don't taste the same either.

I agree with Nookster - They may both be brewed by the same people but Magners is deffinately a far better taste than Bulmers.

I took part in a taste test over Christmas as I got into an argument with a friend over this - out of the 6 people who took part only 1 couldn't tell the difference and thought they tasted the same, the other 5 could tell which was the Magners straight away

Isn't it the same thing?
I was in Dublin over the weekend and couldn't see Magners anywhere.
Bulmers, on the other hand, was in every pub we visited.
Is it not one of these different-names-for-different-regions type things?

And a yummy mummy?!

Sirrus for the woot, sweeter tastier and more refreshing with half a pint of ice in the summer time!

Just google 'is bulmers the same as magners?' and it seems to give you your answers ?

Irish Bulmers (Magners) is a different brand to the Bulmers we get in the UK. It is brewed in Ireland and exported worldwide under the 'Magners' name. The UK Bulmers is brewed in Herefordshire.

defo taste different. Im not a big fan of bulmers (its a bit... flat tasting) - magners though has a little sharp lift to it that I like. Cirrus is not bad but too much of something for my tastes... cant quite pinpoint it.

As pointed out bulmers here is different to magners/bulmers in ireland. Bulmers in the UK was only relaunched after Magners became so popular! lol and is in fact owned by the company that makes strongbow etc.

Fair enough. I stand corrected.

Horrible stuff Cider...Reminds me of paint stripper..

Take a tramps drink of choice and market it to the youngsters and people out there without a brain and you have yourself a winner...
