very vry hot voted thank u

wow what timing, Vasakhi is coming on the 14th this is the biggest religious celebration for Sikhs so bet there will be lots of happy faces now thanks Ameet. Happy Vasakhi to all.

Oh good, does that mean I can call them about the security issues they are having on their Windows PCs and also they can claim for the accident they recently had, not forgetting the wonderful 3 letters known as PPI

Sounds too good, like a charity, how do "they" make money?
Addendum, found out my answer 07755 5 is a non standard 07 number and it attracts a 3p/min so that's how they make money. There are plenty of players charging less than that (and it is not free'ing any thing to bamboozle you and pretends it is free..even for many countries Three own international calls, using a prefix code, starts at 1p a minute), Giffgaff has cheaper per minute calls, for those making long calls , paying a connection charge of 15p, then each call can be as low as 0.5p/min.

According to these, they're super dodgy - some get charged, some don't..

So glad I have T-mobile sim with inclusive 08 calls - can use my minutes to call most of the world including mobiles.

07755 numbers are not free from Three mobiles. They are charged at 35p/minute. Guys please confirm before you make calls with support team.

Three is not bad at all for directly calling india. i have a 123 payg sim and it is the best deal i ever had. you can call india for 3p a minute by prefixing the indian number with 413. good quality of sound and very little fuss.

Hi- Any ways to call India from EE network?

we use localphone, they convert the number to a local number which comes out your free mins, 0.5p to USA, 0.7p to India

I can confirm it is in fact included in your minutes on three. I have used it for many months now and have never had any extra charges.

You can call India for free with other networks too - just give customer services a call

Who the f☆☆k wants to call India?
It's about time these Network provider's made international calling cheaper.

Never ceases to amuse me why a minority of HUKDers have to make pointless inflammatory comments.
No one gives a rat's **** about what you think! Crawl back to your smelly holes!

There is one way which is pretty "cheap" provided you have the internet (But then you'd use Skype, surely?? ) Set up a VoIP line, pay $0.99/month to get a UK number from didlogic, and call India, but you'd be calling a UK number instead, but it'd be in India - this is assuming youre calling friends and family!

If you're feeling up to the challenge, I made a guide here on VoiP-y stuff

forums.moneysavingexpert.com/sho…php?t=4940517

(You can use a "soft phone" like CSIPSimple to use if ya want as well! - so you dont even need to buy a hardwired phone if you dont want to!!)

Perhaps people who have friends/relatives there?

And it's not as easy as "making intl calls easier" Other countries dont have the competition that the UK has. Other countries dont have the infrastructure that the UK has. When youre looking at intl calls, a company like three wont have their own network in that country (Unless it's one of the major areas they operate in ie: three Australia is a big one I think?), they partner with mobile communications companies in that area. Then there's the overhead of sending your data across through many many cell towers. It's pure cost.

There's a reason why it's cheaper to call the USA than it is to call a developing nation maybe 2 hours away. It's purely down to competition and a better infrastructure.

Tbh with ya Ameet, it's down to supply and demand. More people want to call the countries that three have provided, so three provide it as a service!

alright 0.84p , still less than 1p a minute

straight forward and simple way calling India is just buy a cheap standard mobile phone and put LYCA sim in it.
top up as required 1p per minute. no connection charges.
been using for sometime.

I personally think this is a great post... I'm going to ring loads of PPI sellers and see how they ruddy well like it!

i use skype. paying 7 pounds ish for 400 minutes to call malaysia monthly.

I've always been able to do this. Just call dial 333 for Customer Service

Skype PAYG costs only 0.9p/min. Monthly subscription is much cheaper, upto 0.6p/m. Of course it requires internet and smart phone. But one can make calls "from" anywhere in the world using same number, through internet (VOIP). Uses a lot of data, wifi preferred, but quality is good.
Lyca is 2p/min. 1p/m is advertised but is only for heavy users.

If it is included in inclusive minutes. Its still not free because you presumably have paid for the inclusive minutes in the first place.
