Can we expire this please? We have run out of stock on this one.
We looked OK for stock yesterday evening but it seems to have gone a bit hot overnight and we do not have enough to cover all the orders. We will have to cancel some orders this morning, we are really sorry about that - we will let those affected know by email shortly.
Kind regards

Its a shame that Makita is still using the Plastic hinge which disintegrates after a few months, otherwise would have voted Hot

Not really. Most tools are terrible quality. I was very surprised as usually Makita stuff is quite good. It's ok for occasional DIY work. No good for expert diyer or trade.

You have a beautiful smile
Not a bad price for a general set but won't be the best quality.

Fine for general DIY though
Quality is bad
Not great quality, average DIY at best. Got one years ago and was disappointed, also rusts very quickly so make sure to lightly spray the bits with WD40.
Out of stock
Made-for-Makita, not Made-by-Makita. DeWalt do similar sets, generic tools with DeWalt branding.

What would you recommend?
I got this for Christmas and it's fine for DIY and at the price quoted makes an excellent gift. I did find the kit a little disappointing as there are one of two drill sizes that should be included but are missing. However it came in extremely handy recently when fitting some radiator brackets at my son's and I had forgotten my socket set which I needed for the coach screws. The set has socket attachments which saved me a boring task of using a spanner.

What would you recommend?

I've had good experience with DeWalt but haven't used a kit similar to this so can't comment on how good or bad it might be. If you going to use it once in while this should do and if something breaks I guess you can replace it. But if you do regular DIY then I wouldn't recommend this. Lot of bits snapped on first use in my case.
Stupid question but will the drill bits for a Bosch drill?

They are standard drill bits so will fit.
Not a bad kit, had mine a few years, the hinge is ok but one of the closing tabs broke off. Also the arbor adaptor snapped the first time I used it! Everything easily rusts as someone's mentioned. Good for DIY.

Me too about 5 years one of the closing clips is broken though
Yeah same, hinge fine, closing tabs broken. I’ve found it useful except the smallest drill bits snap very easily.

I'm guessing it's made from pp these " living hinges" benefit great from being worked straight off the machine, if done so can last for years but if not yeah a couple on months as the plastic is already brittle
Could we expire please.
I got a not stocked email on this but allowed me to get some bits and bobs without delivery charge. Thank you.
Great bit of kit excellent value
