I've got one of the smaller makita kits, I don't rate the quality as anything special

I'm also dubious about these massive kits because you are lugging around a lot of stuff you may not use for 12 months, and it misses out a lot of stuff that you may need - like I've got huge SDS bits that I need and this isn't big enough, same for holesaws, and auger bits are much nicer than spade bits.

Maybe OK for someone who has very little space to store tools
Rubbish quality set, very disappointed with mine. Bits shatter in pieces. Will return to screwfix when I get the chance.
Got a similar set to this, used it in my drill driver set and broke to bit after a couple of screws! May be ok for small use !
I don't understand why these 'premium' brands allow their name to be slapped on rubbish - but they do. At 50 quid it's not even cheap tat!
I got the smaller set, it’s not a bad set, all the steel bits have snapped or blunted same with the masonary bits. The wood bits have seemed ok, screwdriver bits are ok to. As long as you don’t expect fantastic quality from them then there ok.
I’d echo the previous comments. This is garbage with a good name attached. Just look at the “generic” tape measure! £10 worth of tools with £40 worth of brand name.
It’s also cheaper at Amazon. Cold. Makita P-44046 Drill and Bit Set, 216 pc.…S2M
Agree with the other comments here, these Makita kits are very poor. Keep it in the garage with my Bosch and Erbauer kits and the Makita rusted very quickly while the other brands are fine.
utter junk. spend the money on decent quality bits and rather than buying this tat and then being left with a box of strange bits you’ll never use once the common pieces have melted away
