so what's the use/benefit of pass through sockets as opposed to normal socket sets?
mainly for things where you need an allen key to hold the bolt/threaded rod whilst tightening nut from the same side

More Makita for my addiction… thanks OP ordered.
Hi, do you have any other Makita hand tools? What's your thoughts on quality? I'm not too impressed with this. Tooth count seems to be about 60.

Also, I'm probably being stupid but is there an easy way to remove a socket? I've got one in and can't get it out Is it a case of just bash it out? I can't see a little button or anything.

    Thanks in advance!

Look exactly like the bigger double ratchet Halfords vortex set (edited)

I used to fit aerials & sat dishes. Halfords version was great for long bolts on cradles & mast clamps

Thanks ordered. Needed this set the other day when replacing bathroom taps - simple job took twice as long without deep drive sockets. Will be using this set when I get to do the kitchen tap

    Is it better than these:
only if the nut physically can't be accessed because there is stuff around it

Be interested to hear what others think of the quality of this set? Mine arrived today and I find the sockets don't fit in the racket very well. I put an 11mm socket into the extension bar and it's stuck in it, can't get it out! I'll need to use a pair of pliers to get it out but this is not ideal.. I thought Makita was better quality than this?
I'm finding the same thing. Did you find a better way to remove them, or are they just poor quality?
