They are, sold and dispatched by Amazon
I ordered two
Thanks
Hot, purchased two of them, thanks
Wow back again. And cheapest ever. Do I need another one

Thanks - what a bargain! Handy to have a spare of these - the one I have has a hard life going between hedge trimmer and drill/driver.
If you have an Amazon Business account you can also buy a genuine Makita 4Ah battery for £23.99 supplied by Amazon themselves.
I posted this as a deal a few weeks ago but HUKD pulled the deal because they had no access to confirm Business only deals.

I’ve bought more than 10 in the past. They were all genuine. Seems like they are gradually phasing out the 3ah batteries. Was led to believe a lot of amazons power tool stock comes from Toolstop in Scotland. Massive outfit. All the batteries came in small brown boxes and all the codings etc matched the real ones

Do these fit the radios?
I've had several of these in the past and they have seen supplied in 4/5 different size boxes. Surely if they were all genuine they would arrive in identical boxes?

Some have had a makits sticker on the box... The same I've seen on other capacity batteries I've bought from approved retailers. Others have had generic stickers without makita written on.

Also would it make sense that makita would manufacture this model in more than one place. And if so then have different packaging

Sorry I just tried to go through the order myself and it appears there's a problem at the moment.
They've been this price since November so maybe it's just a glitch on the website, I bought my last one end of December

No worries - the price is a steal. I'll keep an eye but I suspect the 4Ah have been discontinued so it may be the stock has dried up.

So do you get better deals as a business, I was looking into this last week, but backed out at the last minute creating the account.
Thanks
Regards
Mark
Currently use a BL 1815 18v 1.3Ah battery. Will these be suitable replacement units ?

Most things are a similar price or a £ or so less but occasionally they have big discounts on certain things like this 4Ah battery.
The strange thing is Amazon have no method of just searching for discounted 'Business priced' items though so basically sometimes a deal will appear on HUKD for something like a TV or washing machine and when you click on it it'll be cheaper than the deal you were expecting.
I wouldn't hesitate to convert your normal account into a Business account because it costs you nothing extra and the items are an identical price and as mentioned before quite often a few £ cheaper.

Yes buy they'll last twice as long.
Any Makita LXT battery will work on a power tool that has a star on the battery slot.

Depends on where they originated. Could be split from bulk packs and then into individual boxes. I got some 5.0Ah which were in twin pack boxes stating do not split. I've had some in Makita branded retail boxes. Just depends where Amazon has sourced them from.
This deal has just cost me £56.97 I now have more batteries than units, just need a great deal on a leaf blower, impact wrench, heated jacket etc.

Makita have not discontinued the 4.0Ah battery with indicator. The only batteries that have been discontinued are the models with no battery indicator. So BL1830 BL1840 and BL1850. You might find stock in some places. The BL1830B, BL1840B, BL1850B and BL1860B all still form part of Makitas battery range.
Cheers, hot s couple.

Fantastic thank you for your reply I'll get it done, I wondered if I was missing out on a better deal
Cheers

Looks like it's sold out for now.
