3ah gives plenty of combi drill time for most DIYers and they charge so quick, if you have 2 or 3 of them you'll never be without power.

Cheers OP!
Thank you for your post .
Great price if you get genuine. Before anyone says it, not all items are genuine from amazon.co.uk as a seller. They sometimes mix with third party stock. Would rather pay more from a local merchant and guarantee that it's genuine.
Ordered another as only got 1 last time . Good find

Radio and torch
Might bag a 3rd one for a spare. Mine are mostly swapped around used in drills and the handheld vaccum cleaner.

Yes. I have 4 batteries. Combi drill. Impact Driver. Chainsaw. Strimmer. Never had any issues with run time and in any case they only take 20 mins to charge. For just over £20 each they suit my needs/budget perfectly. Of course 6AH would be nice, but they are nudging £100 each.

I own a 2ah, 3ah and 5ah all genuine Makita batteries and actually prefer using the 2ah battery because its so lightweight and compact compared with my higher capacity batteries and with a fast charger only takes minutes to fully recharge.

Excellent...no need to buy unreliable no name copies. 3amp is great for drills, 22 min recharge time with the fast charger
Edited by: "spannerzone" 25th Sep
Any idea if these versions actually balance charge? Just rebuilt a few with Sony VTC6 18650s but buying these would have been far easier and about the same price...

Think I'll buy one purely to open up and see

They came out recently for the new Makita mini drill range.

No 120AH is the best. Obviously.

Sigh. If you're just doing DIY at home 3 ah is fine. If you're working on a building site, then you'll need multiple big boys, most of us won't however. Good price OP, cheers.

Great point. People really underestimate the value of the smaller batteries in terms of jobs where access space is limited or you need to carry a tool for prolonged periods e.g. drilling brackets overhead or using a hedge trimmer. Whilst I have larger batteries, with a 20 minute charge time three 3Ah batteries is more than most hardcore DIYers will ever need.
You can't go wrong for £22.49 delivered. Thanks OP 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Loads of people. 3Ah is standard from most mid-range coordless drills from major brands. It's fairly light, lasts a fairly long time, and charges fairly quickly.

Excellent price, though Makita's mid-range drills are garbage for the price...

Damn, I just bought 3 5.0mah batteries a few days ago. If I knew I would have gone for the 6.0mah
