The Makita 12Vmax DF333D CXT is the latest in compact drill drivers from Makita. Based on the DF331D and powered by the 12V max slide in Li-ion battery. This drill driver gets the balance between power and compact flexibility just right, the overall length being 179mm and weighing just over one kilogram. With in more durability under load over its predecessor due to a change in bearing type. Capable for drilling up to 21mm in wood and 10mm in steel you can be confident it can handle the majority of 2nd fix jobs quickly and efficiently. Supplied as a bare unit, body only. Batteries and charger available separately.

I have this drill and the impact driver to match. Has no issue drilling into masonry, have done loads of household tasks with it and both are a nice size for getting into tight spaces. Perfect for a second fix and any DIY task, for general construction the 18v is preferable but I'm yet to find something the 12v can't do.

Also have the brushless 12v jigsaw, excellent.

Me too. I find the 12v system up to most diy tasks, especially the impact driver. The 18v tools have more ooomph but it's at the cost of size and weight.

I have this, the plastic gear broke after light usage - mostly ikea and general wall punching. Makita repaired it for free out of warranty though
