A Cordless battery angle grinder like this is about as much use a chocolate fireguard. Angle grinder = heavy duty which you really need it corded unless its petrol. Battery even 5ah one drains too fast for it to even last a jobs worth and you will be constantly cycling your betteries before the job is complete

the saving is too small to be a deal or to justify 135£ for occasional use

But it should last long enough to take the hinges off a set of French doors.

Have you used one of these? The motors are very efficient, it’s plenty powerful and unless you’re using it all day long a 5ah lasts plenty long enough. Besides, no harm in keeping a second charged and ready. I also have a twin 18v circular saw that performs admirably

+1
Obviously someone never seen one in action!!!
Trying to replace most of my tools with makita brushless ones! Highly recommended to use on site and for all LEGAL diy jobs!
I've seen one go through a very expensive bike lock in the high street.

Sorry disagree, If you use one as your main job well yes use electric tools (same as most tools if used constantly) but for a DIYer or occasionally using for the odd jobs or even couple a times a week its very good idea, saves time taking out extension reels and can be used more easily/flexible for outdoor use?
example , I have the Makita lawnmower, its great easy to use and no cables to pull around or worry about cutting the cable

Occasional use is fine but how can you justify that amount for occasional when it's close to wired heavy duty price for lightweight work
Got the 125mm model for £132 ebay/ffx
