Been waiting on this since I posted mine a few weeks ago.
Is this worth the new price £106.25 compared to the drills deals this week and brands like dewalt?

I would see ehi h model is newer and go for the newer models, as they'll have more power
Better buy DHP484 for £120 from ITS

Makita are a good brand on par with DeWalt. Many tradesmen have a preference one way or another but both are good brands. This I believe is not the metal gearbox brush less one, but it's a brilliant bit of kit, I have one and only the hammer drill let's it down, but to be fair I have not used anything that was not an sds or corded that was any good at drilling strong masonry. This is pro consumer rather than full pro drill for a trade person but shares the same batteries and charger so you can easily add to your collection.

I have battered mine and it's still going strong, and surprisingly fast to charge. The included bits are average but perfectly usable and the case is robust.

I have not checked the prices of other deals so cannot comment more than I think I paid £120 for this 3 odd years ago.

So it holds its value good.
This is one of the lowest on the Makita range (see link, not on the list but lowest torque) and the 101 piece kit is generally very good.

This would be an excellent drill for most light DIY jobs, drilling on hammer could take a bit longer than the higher spec. drills and bit heavier. But the LXT batteries are really excellent and I had a cheaper Makita drill that did me really well. I'm a big Makita fan and for £106.25 this is an excellent buy. Heat.
Daft question. Can this be used as an electric screwdriver for assembling furniture? and you know, general screw er screwing.

Yeah, comes with all the necessary attachments. But with some furniture, if it's delicate, a hand screwdriver is better.
Was on the fence about this deal for a few days as I could see that there was a brushless model Makita available at ITS for £119.99 (DHP484). Also the brushless DeWalt for the same price as the DHP484 with a 4.0Ah battery.

In the end I think this is a better deal for those who aren't going to be using their drill everyday and the 101 piece set that comes with it is worth £20-£30 on its own. Plus having a charger and battery means you can go off and then buy other Makita LXT tools (body only) for good prices and build up your power tool kit!
