This is the best deal I have found for a quality Makita drill with an arm wrecking 88NM of torque and an adjustable side handle. The drill is quite heavy and perhaps not for everyone. The 18V 3Ah battery has a fuel gauge on it which is handy, The drill also has enhanced dust and drip-proof performance for use in outdoor applications or harsh environments.
The drilling capacities are steel 13mm,wood 65mm,concrete 16mm. The drill has 21 torque settings.Fitted with a single sleeve keyless chuck that allows for easy bit installation/removal by one hand. High power and productivity is achieved with the new DC motor. Twin LED Job light with pre-glow and afterglow functions. Rated as Heavy Duty and weighting in at 2.3 Kg not the lightest of drills but just the job for me.
All in all for the drill MakitaDHP458, charger, 18V 3Ah battery and a Makpac case I think its a good price £159.95.
(The deal is on at the time of posting not sure how long it will run for)

I'm not pishing on your deal cede, but my tool shed sell on ebay. People should take a look at the feed back if they are thinking of ordering.

Does anyone know which charger comes with this kit?

Limited use for DIY - too heavy and potentially a dangerous amount of torque if you don't know what you're doing.

the Charger I got with the kit is a
DC18RC COMPACT CHARGER

What do you think about the weight? I'm in two minds about this
also is the battery one of the newer BL1830B with battery indicator or is it marked BL1830?

Many thanks

Hi nipstyler
to answer your questions the weight for me is fine 2.3Kg which is just over 5 1/2 pounds it is a all metal chuck and it has metal gears as well so quite heavy and robust its a case of stronger machine requires stronger components so as to be longer lasting and for me the quality and durability out weight the weight of the drill.
The battery is the newer BL 1830B which has the four display lights on the back . It all depends on if you want or need a heavy duty durable drill and not forgetting the 3 year warranty (on the drill only, for which you need to register on the Makita web site.) As I say the weight for me is a small price to pay for such a durable robust drill.
Both screwfix and toolstation do their own version of this drill you could go and check out the weight there.

Mine came in a 3 battery case. When I opened it there were two batteries in mine and not one as in description. Anyone else experience that?

453 with 2 3ah batteries charger and case is still 129.99 at screwfix

The 453 is a DIY level drill. This is a professional drill with double the torque. Mine also came with 2 batteries. After cashback I got it for 155. Well worth spending 25 quid more for a beast.
