Cheers, not sure how I missed that! I've expired this deal.

Did you hear back from ITS about the condition of your drill/accessories? Think I'll look elsewhere based off comments in the other thread.

You could have put it for just the white one, I don't think there is a current deal for that?

I had an email saying to call them and the email referenced sending a replacement but I gather they will all be the same.

The scuffing isn't major so it probably won't bother most people. Tried to attach a photo

That's not too bad but still annoying when buying new items. I've changed the deal to the white one as you suggested.

Update : fair play to ITS, offered either a swap or small "goodwill gesture"

First time using them but based on that I'll defo be looking to them in future.
Set fire to my first one.. I’ve had the second for a couple of years now with no flames 🏻..
I'm looking for a good all round combi drill (cordless and brushless). Not looking to pay more than £150. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Similar situation to myself but not too bothered whether it's brushless or not. There's the DeWalt DCD778M2T-SFGB in Screwfix for £149.99 which comes with case, Charger and 2 x 4.0Ah batteries.
You can get a dewalt with 2 x 4.0Ah batteries for £149 at screwfix

How does that compare to the MAKITA DHP459SME £118.99?

And this DEWALT DCD778D2T-GB £149.99

Both from Screwfix

I'm no expert on drills but the DeWalt looks the same or very similar to the drill I originally mentioned but it comes with 2 lower capacity 2.0Ah batteries (2 x 4.0Ah in the other deal) .

The DeWalt drill is more powerful with a higher max torque of 65Nm vs 45Nm of the Makita and higher impact rate of 27,750 vs 22,500. It also comes with a 3 year warranty on the DeWalt. Hope that helps.

If you wanted the Dewalt with 2 x 2.0Ah batteries that is £119 on Screwfix

That's for the 776 model, Max torque only 45Nm. 778 model can be had for £119.99 with 1 x 2.0Ah battery on Screwfix.
I'm getting lost in all these drills go for the 149 deal you can't beat that
Same here haha! I think I'm going to. I was wanting something closer to £100 as I don't really need the 4.0Ah batteries. Slowly convincing myself I do...
Considering the prices of the batteries it's a no brainer
£126 with the Makpac kit if anyone is interested... with free delivery. Case is normally £22 on its own.

Other than calling them or using the search for different postcodes/locations I'm not sure there is. There is no stock near me either.

I bought a 482 bare from them this week looking for a battery and charger option the Screwfix deal came with two batteries and a charger which would have been perfect.

I can't find any charger and battery deals about if anyone knows of where to look?

Seems to be clearly the best deal from what I can see. I just don't really want to stretch to £150 for a drill is my issue

I watched a video the other day where the guy showed that having a higher Ah battery added to the drilling power. He said not a lot of people are aware of that and went on to demonstrate it.

I've seen a few people mentioning that. I'm just building up my tool collection so trying to decide which brand/offers to go for before committing.

What's your feeling on brand? I've noticed that they all have their fan boys .

I'm the same. I don't have many tools and just moved into a more spacious place with shed so would like to do more.

They do don't they no real preference but I'm leaning towards getting the Dewalt drill with 2 x 4.0Ah batteries for £150 from Screwfix.

Can't see any deals on Makita batteries/chargers which would allow me to get a bare drill unit or deals with multiple batteries for around £150. I'll possibly be getting a multi tool too at some point in the future.

With the Makita stuff you can get a decent drill and price but seems like you need to wait around for the deals on the separate parts and do them all individually which is a bit of a pain.

I agree that the de Walt is the best one going, I've just been reluctant to spend £150.

Bit the bullet today and purchased the DeWalt, not had chance to use it yet though. I justified it by telling myself I'm saving money compared to getting someone in to do the jobs I've got planned

Pretty noticable, enough for a significant vibration at higher speeds - I contacted Screwfix and they told me to fill in a returns enquiry form on their website. That was about a week ago and heard nothing since...
