The DHP482 is one of our best selling cordless combi drills packed full of features and is supplied here in anniversary colour black and white. It is a mid-range, well balanced combi featuring a variable speed trigger with forward and reverse and an impressive maximum torque of 62Nm. The 2 speed gearbox has metal gears and an electric brake stops rotation almost immediately once the trigger is released.

Twin LED lights illuminate the work area and a single sleeve, easy grip 13mm keyless chuck allows for rapid bit change. Drilling capacities are Ø13mm in masonry and steel, Ø38mm in wood and a 21 stage torque setting allows for accurate screwdriving in both high and low gear.

Being part of the Makita Lithium-Ion family it can accept all 18v Li-Ion batteries and incorporates a battery protection circuit to prevent overload and overheating. A rubber moulded handle gives better grip and reduces vibration and a handy belt clip can be fitted both left and right handed. This tool is eligible for the Makita 3 year warranty which requires registration within 30 days of purchase

Thanks. It seems to come to £130 for this with two batteries - or is your picture the wrong one?

Yeah that's standard pic....option of 1,2 or 3 batteries...
I think the image is wrong, it's just 1 battery for £99.95
I paid £126.99 (iirc) for the two battery version back in August. Good drill, good platform to get into.
Thanks got one for the wife's anniversary gift- legit.
Thanks, would anyone know the difference with the DHP482RMWJ?

It’s cost a bit more, £175 maybe, but you get a Makapaca case and two 4.0ah batteries

And rapid charger
Brilliant. It’s nothing too critical as I only seldom use a drill. Will cancel the RMWJ order (£150 on Amazon couple weeks ago) and get this one. Many thanks all, £50 saved here
Are these any good for cutting circular holes with a circle hole cutter?

Reason I ask is that my drill will not or do I need a mains drill?

Need to cut in the side of a kitchen cupboard.

A top quality circular cutting bit would probably help. However, it’s true that some drills just seem to have as much as twice the amount of torque as others, even within the same brands. What is the make and model of drill you were using?

Just says powerbase extreme 18v. Looks like a homebase own brand. Up to 1100 min (whatever that is haha)
Bought this on an Amazon price error a couple of years ago. I needed some more batteries, and the drill was effectively free. I've been using this drill on site for the last two years and left my slightly bigger 18v at home. It's never missed a beat so very happy.

A cheap corded drill is money saving I would suffice. Your cordless drill, I’m guessing, it could be the drill doesn’t have much grunt, the torque maybe around 20-25Nm. The one in this deal is probably 60Nm or more. More than up to completing tasks such as drilling a hole into kitchen cupboard units.

So is this a good deal or not lol?
Would this set of bits work okay with this offer? hotukdeals.com/dea…661

Presumably yes, but one can never be too sure.
