This is the basic Makita 18v SDS drill, great value at this price. Not for the toughest jobs, but a step up in masonry from the regular hammer action of the combi's. Does not have the chisel action of it's big brother.

The Makita DHR171Z is a compact lightweight 18v rotary hammer drill with a powerful brushless motor that increases battery runtime by around 30% and has reduced maintenance and downtime.

This unit features 2 modes of operation, rotary only for drilling steel, plastic and wood and rotary hammer for masonry drilling.     Purely for clarity, this drill doesn’t have a hammer/chisel only mode.
    It's a bit of an odd model... you're better off going for the 202 for a similar price or the bigger 242 or 263 (36V) models imo.
