Nice and light drill with 2 batteries and a hard case. Not a LXT but perfect for DIY and all around the house use. Got this one last year with 74 bits for my father and he loves it.

It's the next level up on quality and compatibility. If it's LXT compatible it means any drill body will take a LXT battery as they are all the same shape . But it's more for a semi serious professional because most if us won't need or have different drill bodies. This deal is very good but others will bitch it's not LXT .

"if your happy with a very basic drill with a makita logo sat in your shed buy one", as this is the same one off makita 1.3ah dinosaur B&Q, peddle,
Personally i,d recommend spend very little more to buy the most basic lxt model, makita lxt range is more a compatible battery standard for the vast range of makita products even- coffee machines- radios & e-Bikes.

It's not the same drill. This one is very light and easy to use. Same power. Why spend on LXT when you don't need it. Coffee machine- you definitely never used one-biggest rubbish Makita ever made. Drains the battery after 2 cups. Makita radio at home?!? Why the hell???. Don't get me wrong, I have got almost the full range of LXT tools and love all of them but yes , this is a simple small dril to stay in your shed and be there when you need it. Not a brainer for this money and don't forget 3 years warranty

Just wondering
