Just a warning this Drill and battery are Makita G series and are NOT compatible with proper mainstream Makita LXT tools including chargers drill batteries etc.

Any idea how they compare as systems? Which is better?

LXT is the best by far because all the proper Makita tools use it.
The G series is a budget B&Q / Wickes Argos version, there's actually a better deal on an LXT drill on here today for £90 hotukdeals.com/dea…336 with a 3Ah battery and a spare new genuine 3Ah battery is on Amazon at the moment for £22.

Thanks, just wasn’t sure if this was a new system to replace LXT. I’ve had an LXT drill for a few years and it is great. Best tool I’ve bought
