Makita SDS Plus hammer drill. On sale at a geat price if you don't mind having a white one instead of the usual blue.
I got the blue one last year for £139, it's probably one of the best purchases I've made tool wise. So much easier to drill through brick and concrete, I'd never use a percussion drill again. I use it for chiselling plaster off too but you're probably better off with a larger 5kg type for that.
Comes with pointed and chisel bits, and another 6 drill bits.
Seems to be plenty of stock where I checked locally.

Not sure why it's labelled as 3kg when the others are 2kg....here is the blue one anyway if you want to read the reviews

Have a previous version Hitachi 2kg hammer and it's been bullet proof for the 3 years I've had it and this new model Hitachi is supposedly twice as durable as before, if you can believe the blurb from Hitachi.

Mind you I don't think you can go wrong with any Makita, Bosch, Hitachi and to a lesser extent Dewalt tools when it comes to SDS+ drills.
A lot of my other stuff is Hitachi, so like them a lot - belt sander, circular saw, angle grinder...the ubiquitious 18v drills that are always on here.
