Thanks for review SR, always nice when members chip in with real positive buyers info.. instead of all that fake tat all over social media and the intaweb's
Great deal for the trademan. This would get even hotter if there was more than 6 in stock. Grab it while you can! Hear added
Cracking Price @bitcoin5
0.17 per piece? Including the case? Amazing! Now I need a cheap drill to go with it. And a booklet how to use it all.
That was quick! It's gone to £19.90 now.
Odd it says price £17.77 which is crossed out and then it says Deal Price £19.90. When you add it your basket it says £17.77

Lol!! Sorry, was in such a rush stuffing one in my Amzn 1-Click cart before I posted it, forgot to look and add my infamous "low stock find" tag!!
Wow smashing find @bitcoin5 🔥

WIP rosa!!! Should be a "drill" deal up (low stock find) one in next couple of days from me.. with a bit of luck!
Bit off topic but what is a decent precision screwdriver set? One where the metal isn't soft and deforms screwing or unscrewing. Wanting something which will last we'll for DIY tasks. Not where it has to remain in its box to last well

We have these and so do a lot of our friends, that are only friends, when I find them something cheap!!!

Brilliant value for money..

They used to give these away free with a cordless drill :-)
A really good set. Plastic case hinges will break with repeated use so I would recommend that you keep it in a display cabinet & admire it.

Had mine years and the hinges are fine. Not worth admiring though, very average stuff!
@bitcoin5 Thanks.

It is weird because on mobiles I edit a comment when I spot a typo but after updating it still shows the error and not the corrected version.
I just bought from Amazon at £17.77 thanks. Voted hot
Got the same set free with one of their drills. Good value however I really hate the case, pieces wont all sit properly and will pop out too easily making closing the case difficult.
Got this set and don't think the quality of the contents matches the quality of Makita tools I'm afraid.

That's a comment that has often been made about this set. On the other hand a professional quality set would cost much more.

This would be good for the average household. I expect a tradesman would burn out the bits he uses in a day or two and get fed up with carrying around the bits he doesn't need.

Totally agree. Makita make good power tools and Saw blades but terrible drill bits.
I've got this set, seriously please don't buy it... The stuff is Poundland quality, I've invested a lot into their pro amateur and professional range and it's very good, that's why I thought this set would also be decent enough. But no!. Very very disappointed with Makita.
If anyone misses this deal.. you did well and steered clear of this trouble!.

I also note that some people have been breaking the cost down into a price per item. It would be interesting to see how much of the set you use in a 12 month period. I think you would be better off buying the heavy use pieces by either Bosch or DeWalt and you wouldnt miss the rest. I would suggest the PH and PZ bits and probably 5, 6 and 8mm wood and masonary drill bits and the level.
Good deal! Great find!
Not a bad set. Certainly a lot in it. The drill bits are only adequate, mind. You’ll wear them down in no time. I’ve been replacing them slowly with Bosch bits (still not expensive) and they’re notably better. Still a good deal though. I still use a lot of this set.
Screw bits snap easily when used with a driver. Might be ok for occasional use but deffo not the best.

I found the steel to be very soft, deformed near instantaneously.
Good set, have owned for 2 years now. Stood the test of time. Just wish that it extended from 6.5mm to 10mm on the drill bits as I have found this set lacking for a lot of the applications I needed around the home.
Energy Class A did it for me.
