Does anyone know whether this would accept a generic trim router?
I thought a breast pump!
Good spot OP. Had this in my basket for months waiting for a price drop.
Will this work with a mesh wifi system?
10/100?

I bought the green katsu a couple of years back. Found it got really hot, in a very short space of time, so I returned it. I put it down to poor fan and motor. I take it this has not been your experience? Tempted to follow your lead and buy the kit.

Can't see why not, although it is just a base, maybe one of these would fit in it, or you could make an adaptor:-

I bought a 1/2” router but I like the idea of a little 1/4” one. Tempted by this. Aldi have a little trim router in the shop at the moment under the ferrex brand for £29.99. Lidl and ALDI tools are usually diy Aimee tools do not for everyday site work, and their power tools are normally a 4/5 in terms of customer feedback. Easy to return with a 3 year warranty should they not live up to their promise

This is a deal for a router, not a router!
Thanks OP, ordered
I'm curious - what is this, what does it do?
Checked out the web page, none the wiser!

So many uses. It's for helping to cutt/shape profiles/edges of wood, although you need a router to actually make the cuts.

YouTube

It provides a larger, flatter base with two gripping handles to improve control.

It allows you to drop the height of a router and bit which most small routers won't allow you to do (plunge cut - to perhaps bore a motise or make an initial hole in the middle of a piece of wood).

Furthermore the height can be finely controlled. It would allow you to make a cut, check the fit and make a very small adjustment.....maybe 0.01mm and recut it so you can sneak up on a fit between two pieces of wood. This is not something you can generally do with a small trim router.

I really want to buy this, this and the katsu palm router. But the wife won't approve lol. I've already got a dewalt 1/4 inch anyway so don't necessarily need these.

Thanks so much for your clear explanation. I've learned so much over the years on this site, about things I never even knew existed,
