great router, but I'd go for the kit with the plunge accessory, that's a must-have IMO
    What is this ?

No brainer for these, decent quality (better than a cheap Aldi special - I have both)

Paid not much less for an Aldi one I think a year ago so this is a very good price

What are the accessories you would recommend for this router?
    Depends what your doing..

I made a large clear nylon base for mine when routing out hinges.

I also recently bought a little jig from eBay that attaches to a Makita track. It keeps perfect lines when routing dados etc. (edited)

    Plus £10 delivery to N.I.
    Isn’t that overseas somewhere foreign?

What would you use a router for? Is it just rounding off edges on wood?
Profiling is one of the functions but it's a very versatile tool used for many applications, you can make all sorts of jigs to shape wood for handles, hinges, etc It can be used to flatten timber, to cut recesses. Some people use it to drill dowel holes instead of a pillar drill. For creating joints, Dado, rabbet, etc. Cutting circles. It all depends on what you need and what toold you have but I'd say that a router is probably among the top 5 most essential powertools for any woodworker (edited)

I got this and checked it for center alignment. It's 1mm off centre using it in trimmer base. This is crucial for me as I plan to use it with guide bush.

Has anyone had this issue or notice slight misalignment.
