I got one of those too but it won't let me redeem it on this for some reason. Even when logged in.

Use caps lock when entering the code.
How do you use the screw finders? Had them in sets before and never worked out what they're for. (other than bulking the number of items up).
£10 voucher??
I actually bought this set on Saturday and returned it on Sunday as it's not that great. I've tested 5 drill bits and none of them were straight, then the countersink was very poor etc. Maybe my one was just a bad batch, but I'm not convinced.

Obviously if you don't have anything at all (out of that set), then perhaps this could be a good starter set and then overtime replace the bits that you're actually going to use...

Did do. It's only a 4 digit code. Just won't work for some reason. I get this error.

We are unable to apply the promotional code you entered (****), because the code is incorrect or out of date. Please check and re-enter.

Screwfix give vouchers out all the time. But they're customer specific and there's not much of a pattern to when you get them.
Quality of this kit isn't great, broke two bits within first 3 months. Dewalt Extreme kit on sale at Toolsation will last a lot longer - toolstation.com/dew…865

Alternativly if you want something for occasional use and around the same price, go for cheaper Dewalt kit (was recently on sale in-store @ B&Q for £17)
Lot of poor reviews all over the web for this set. Another alternative is the Bosch X Line 70 piece set that's going for about £20.
I've had this exact set for years and have used almost all of the bird. The quality is impressive for the price, excellent DIY set.
I've had this for years as well and is a very acceptable home DIY set, the only annoyance is the plastic 'hinges' break too easily. If I need professional quality I buy that piece by piece as no point owning a lot of expensive bits that I will never use.

every single drill size, apart from the 7mm which no one ever uses, ever.
i'm a pro drill smith. I never use a 7mm. all the pros know that.
Beware of the spirit level, one I had in the set was off luckily checked with another spirit level before drilling

Why are you drilling spirit levels?

7mm is good for brown rawl plugs if you like it tight. Ahem.

I bought one off ebay and used my Quidco £2.50 voucher also. I'd purchased one form Screwfix for circa £20 2-3 years ago. Most of the metal drill bits snapped like carrots.
these will be junk for this price, ok fine if you are using them as jobber bits to throw after a few uses fine.. but these will be chinese crap, not premium makita
I thought Makita was good brand, but 4 years ago I bought a similar set from them and they almost all went rusty after a year. No I don't live near the sea, or a river, nor did I wash them, or leave them in the rain, etc etc.

better than snapping though? Wipe with an oily rag and they good to go.
