Brilliant product, fantastic idea, no more problems with underpowered tools, no battery swapping, just plug and play.

I am a casual diy user and I was getting tired of the aging batteries. This is just perfect product for me and hopefully for some of you too. Best price on internet, with free next day delivery (uk mainland) and 3 years warranty. Fantastic reviews, very good retailer.

Use save5now code for the price.

Torque 90nm, 1kg, electronic brake

Bear in mind - This is impact driver, not combi or drill driver !!!

Good deal, but surprisingly low torque for a mains tool - 90nm

Have a look at YouTube, it's enough for everything

these don't work by sheer torque though. Guessing the impact part wouldn't be measured in the same way.

I've been using this for years. Had about 6 in last 3 years. it won't last more than a year and very weak compared with the 18V one. I keep buying them for the convenience, price and for the complete lack of other brands. Returning them for repairs when you buy online is a hassle, so I can't be bothered with.

I take you are a pro, an extremely heavy user and your experience was not replicated by the others too often, otherwise I wouldn't understand Makita's faith in this product (or being precise - rationale of guaranteeing it for 3 years without the 'diy only' restriction ). The feedback / reviews available online are usually very good.

So, barely good enough for you, still good enough for me .

As I said, I am just diy guy and absolutely detested the batteries being flat at a moment I needed them most, or the need for buying new stuff just because the new batteries bought separately cost more than the package. Needless to say, I don't like the fact that the old batteries, even though they were used throughout the years for several occasions only became useless now. It's a solution to my problem.

Bought one a few weeks ago, agree with the lack of power compared to 18v version, was screwing 80mm screws into softwood sleepers and a 14.4v impact i had with me was getting them in twice as fast this, will vote hot as its a good price for what it is, however don't expect miracles from it.

Perfect tool for me, i managed to complete a few large diy projects (including 4x5m raised decking) using it.not very fast as mentioned but fast enough for me. Standard quality 6x150 construction screws into the pine (without pre-drilling) went without much issues.
