Gone are the days of lifetime licenses

Very good deal, best PC security software in my opinion

Ye it is. But for £7 you can't go wrong.

Many on ebay

the paid version is ON all the time and slows down my PC, so running the free version manually is much better (just my opinion).

BTW, get Superantispyware free as well, which will get rid of most tracking cookies. Again, set the Preference menu to OFF when not in use.

You can if it has a lot of bloatware on it just stick to the free one

Hasn't slowed down my pc but I'd also prefer real time protection (If it's on offer) and since this is £7 I can't see a negative really. Premium will always be better than a free version surely.

Plenty of decent free anti malware available. Avast, Avira, AVG, Bitdefender, 360 Safe. And for the occasional use for checking for spyware and cookies you have the free version of this and several other programs.

The best by far is IObit I swear by it.

nothing comes close to this imo,but i just use the free version weekly and use my brain but for peopel; with kids or not fully internet aware its a great tool the pro version

Rather different from a standard virus checker - you need both. Nothing matches Malwarebytes though.

the exploit protection is not a definition based malware checker like other freebies.

It blocks on technique only like the "hollowed process" exploit.

I wonder what that actually means for those of us with a lifetime license?

"As we did with our change from perpetual to subscription, we will grandfather in existing customers at their current price. We are still working out the details, but I assure you we will take care of all existing customers."

So I assume it will work like it did for v1 > v2.

Free versions of this, IObit, and Spybot are definitely OK... for most people...Have tried active premium versions of all
but find they monitor and check everything you do.... from opening files, downloads, websites etc...
which is good in part.... but it just slows up your work far to much...so it's a clean temp files and a manual daily scan
before I shut down

I use the free version and do a manual scan a couple of times a week. Great software.

Hence my saying to use this alongside an antivirus. But then in this day and age how many kids actually use a desktop or laptop?

It was that price anyway. You do the cashback deal that's why.

Even though I've used malware in the past. It failed to get rid of the nasty virus on my lappy. I've tried every software plus paid live safe mcaffe and lappy still infected. Thought it was Windows 10.

Price now shows as £39.99. Have they doubled the price now?

Thanks, was thinking of buying this, but the price increase seems like a bit of a p*ss take.
