Lovely little pink first bed for your little girl!
It was £115 but now £55.
Have been looking for a sturdy quality bed for my eldest for a while and saw this!
Dont think it comes with a matress but you can pick them up quite cheaply.

Voted hot but then realised that it only takes a specific M&P mattress which costs £135! Mental.

Nice price for the bed if you already have a mattress tho.

thats a shame about the mattress. would have bought it for my middle daughter if there was a cheap mattress for it.

But If its going to give your daughter good posture and a healthy spine would £135 not be a good investment ?

Not that I know anything about their matrasses ..but i pressume at such a price it would be very good quality.
:-D

Where does it state you have to use a certain mattress?:?

They do do one for £70.00 but i think round the hundred pound mark is quite reasonable for a good mattress IMO.
hot from me

strange - we have a M&P cot and this takes any equivalent size mattress... we bought our mattress elsewhere (non-M&P).

plus, you can get made to measure mattresses cheaper ]here

:thumbsup:

My mistake it says a certain M&P mattress is recommended!

Plus, I was hoping that our cot mattress wold have fit but guess that kinda defeats the point.:whistling:

They would recommend their own

On the argos one just says

* Size (L)160, (W)75, (H)72cm.

* Mattress not included - requires mattress size (L)140, (W)69cm.

* Weight 27kg.

* Self assembly: 1 person recommended.

:oops:

Sounds like a standard cotbed size mattress to me. Got my son a delux m&p cotbed mattress a couple of years ago but don't know what is delux about it it is a very basic lump of foam.

I think they like scaremongering us into buying expensive mattresses for our little ones tbh.

I've fallen for it with both my two, of course!:oops:

But someone at a mattress manufacturers nearby pointed out that kids are very light and don't really put a dent in a mattress.

I guess that natural fibres are best cos of toxic fumes, etc.

But the whole breathability thing flummoxes me. I think they're pretty much all lump of foam or springs which are much the same!

If anyone can provide any professional advice on the whole kids/mattress thing it would be good though?

I was just going to suggest that website myself. I bought a mattress from them to fit my daughters mamas & papas cotbed - great quality at a fraction of the price.

Does anyone know if you can attach a toddler rail to this?

Had a look on the website, and cannot see any mention of it.

Thanks
