Normal round-trip flights, no need to do stupid things like fly to some European city to open-jaw it. Also no ridiculously long connection times.
Its getting cheaper and cheaper to fly to Asia from Manchester

good deal. Cathay Pacific new route from Manchester to HKG has definitely create competitive prices.

smokin hot!

Excellent price. Cathay Pacifics cheapest price is £500 and that's a 'sale' price

Good deal - just one change at Istanbul with reasonable time between connecting flights. Journey time 16 -19 hours.

I wouldn't go that far. Haven't you ever used Ryanair?

I disagree. Having flown Turkish Airlines multiple times, they have really new planes, great staff on board, the seats are more comfortable, new entertainment systems with loads of movies, and they even serve fresh orange juice in economy class.

I would choose Turkish Airlines any day over Virgin Atlantic or British Airways.

Paid £330 for mine about 2 weeks ago! Gutted, but still an awesome deal!

what dates are people using as i did Dec17th-7th Jan and it was £624

I flew with them to Mumbai this weekend, although I was stupid and flew to Riga first (perfect for spending a day in). I only had an hour to connect and missed it because the first flight was delayed by an hour. They were pretty efficient at putting us up in a nice hotel until the next evening with 3 meal vouchers. So I'd recommend them.

If you don't like, keep flying with Ryanair or Biman.

They are the 5th best airline in the world.

Excellent airline. Some of the best economy food and seat back entertainment I've had. Istanbul airport is overcrowded and a bit grim otherwise I'd not hesitate to fly Turkish again.

you didn't really expect the same price for the christmas break, did you?

I'm flying with Turkish to Hong Kong return from Dublin in January 2016 for 340 euro - £240 ... so it seems like the offer is from many other airports where Turkish flies, not just London or Manchaster

We used to fly mostly Emirates and Etihad, but we already have flights in April to India with Turkish, and than in January to Hong Kong. Turkish got really competitive recently, but there is no need to put prices so low, don't want to see them go bankrupt

Wow a deal for up north for once what the best price for our southerners or cheapest transfer to Man airport - thanks

If you do a stop-over on Istanbul it takes off a further £30 per person.

Same, my friend just booked today as it's the last day of the sale and got Heathrow for under £295.

Why? Why is this the worst airline?
What was terrible about the service?

Your post is completely pointless without any explination to your statements

Very obvious you have never flown with them as the service is excellent and can't fault it. Also to say worse airline to world #5 is a bit silly as they have left behind hundreds of Airlines. I've also seen them be very polite to a very bad passenger. I guess you saw "Turkish" and thought you would be clever.

Turkish Airlines are known for flying to more destinations than any other airline and because of this they are in financial difficulties with empty seats on routes that don't pay. A relative who works for them has said they will be cutting back drastically from next October with cancellation of routes to Istanbul from many places including some from UK. Dublin, Manchester etc may be cut so for security book from London which is always guaranteed to continue a service. They basically have grown too big and can't compete with other airlines, they thought it would look good to be the airline with more destinations on there books but as we know this doesn't work when these destinations don't fill seats. Just be very careful, things will be changing from next October.

I tried them last year to Man - Mumbai first time thought being Man Utd official airline can't be that bad and boy I was wrong. General attitude was bad, attendants were serving food as she is doing us a huge favor!! Headphones not working 'Sorry we don't have any extra right now'. May be I am not comparing like for like as usually fly with Emirate/Qatar or crew was just having a bad day!!

bloody amazing! I found £265 from Gatwick for us southerners

something's not right.. prices change when you go into the individual booking site

if only I wanted to go to Asia!.

Excellent price, shame my wife is a teacher as the prices to go at Xmas is over £700+

best airline inthe world best food best friendly staff and also reasonable prices.

good deal turkish airlines is best good service good food very comfortable you cant compare with others

Great price.

I must laugh at all the "best airline in the world" comments though. I don't judge my airline on the newness of the planes, the quality of the food or the size of the seat back screen. I judge it on their operational safety and incidents. And Turkish aren't up there in that department I'm afraid.

Can you produce their "operational safety and incident" record?

Go to avherald.com and search for Turkish if you want some light reading.

Just last week an Airbus A330 left the runway at Kathmandu after landing in very marginal fog conditions. Other airlines were diverting to other airports. Turkish held for 2 hours and then landed.

The 737 at Amsterdam a few years back was an avoidable tragedy. With one of the most senior training captains in the airline on the flight deck.

They seem to make a habit of scraping aircraft tails on the runway during take off in recent times. Oh and landing on a taxiway instead of the runway at Bodrum is pretty embarrassing.

Really, you would? I've travelled BA & Turkish Airlines & I can safely say the gulf in standards was staggering. Also, this is a struggling airline, their standards although good now may start to falter.
