Manchester City is flogging tickets for the champions league home games vs Atalanta and Shakhter half price through the unidays app. The standard adult in some stands is at £20 currently so that may get discounted to £10.

Great offer for a top tier European game and some fabulous football on display. Can't say the sane about refereeing.

The answer is simple although citeh fans don’t like to hear it. The bottom line is citeh are a small club with rich owners who bend the rules with dodgy sponsorship so they can circumvent the rules that other clubs follow. Sadly UEFA are too frightened to act.

Small cub, no fans, rich owners.

Atlanta game is showing as restricted. Does this mean the tickets haven't been released for general sale yet?
True. Tickets limited to citizens at the moment but given how uninterested city supporters are in the midweek tournament, there'll be plenty to go around when it's open for general sale.

You can still buy them now with the code if you're a member.
The code is a one off by the way. Changes hourly in your Unidays app.

This is what it's like to be City, this is what it's like to be small, you signed Phil Jones and we signed Kun Agueroooooo. Well done City, prices are high for football and any incentive to reduce prices is a win for the fans even if it is to fill our little empty stadium.

It takes years and years to get a global fan base, but they are on the way there but the new fans are still just kids. Watch this space.
The likes of Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs ( and Liverpool to some extent) dont have to play a lot of games through out teh season to get to finals and win things, unlike City, hence why City supporters are not at every game as it works out quote expensive to watch every game

Man City aren't the only club doing it, Scum advertised gates on average 4200 higher than their actual attendances. Technically they're not lying because it's based on tickets sold and not bums on seats. I guess if you've got supporters faking celebrations during a derby match then it's hardly surprising they can't be arsed to go to a match they paid to see.

joke of a club, EMPTYHAD
Is a student Card or ID required to get in?
As much as people hate on City, this is a good initiative to allow everyone to be able to watch a match in person. We keep getting told how ticket revenues are insignificant to clubs now that TV revenues are so high, yet they still seem to charge £40+ which prices out a lot of people.
All banter and jealousy aside,I think it’s great to make football affordable

Hmm debatable, Manchester United will always have a bigger global fanbase than any other English counterpart.

If success builds fan base then England should have higher Liverpool fans than United fans, it’s all down to marketing and united have that nailed even if their so poor lately. They still have a huge following with a massive crowd turnout.

Liverpool won more premier leagues than United in the past? Oh wait, they haven't won it yet, sorry.
Pointless going to UCL game at Man City ground. They will never win it as they are a small club bankrolled by some rich people, they have no UCL pedigree and fans that need help to generate an atmosphere. Once rich owners go, they be back where they belong bottom half of the league

City are not a small club, never have been. Eight domestic honours and a Cup Winners Cup before even a sniff of money came along. Their biggest attendance at Maine Road was 85,000, and they travel in numbers. Proper football club, with some great fans. It's the Bournemouths and the Wigans of this world that are small clubs born from money.
Madness - Anfield sold out for every match week in week out. £59 per ticket for Salzburg and it was full. #Emptihad

That went straight over your head didn’t it?
Encouraging students to City matches? Paul Calf will be devastated!
Thanks hsnali another great post!!
As a MU fan I was happy to get free tickets to watch ECL at a great venue and the Croatian fans were amazing singing their hearts out the entire match!
Pity about the narrow minded who see this as a way to vent their anger but don't let that put you off-well done keep it going!!!
Why is liverpool even being referenced by city fans here lol obsession
Fans: we want lower ticket prices!!!!!!
*club reduces ticket prices*
Fans: absolutely embarrassing!!!!!!
Atalanta can be a great team on the night. Could be a lot of goals in that one

Small club on a global and fan based scale hence the need to constantly reduce ticket prices. You couldn’t even sell out your allocation for the cup final!!
Thats why you are and always will be a small club. You mention buying titles etc and how other clubs spend money but citeh are the only club in Britain facing a Champions league ban for improper finances, in other words cheating the system.
Citeh and the chavs have both spent above their income due to being a rich owners play thing and both have had or are facing bans.
I would rather support a small club that didn’t cheat than a sugar daddies play thing.

As I said, citeh fans wouldn’t like it but those are the facts.

All this talk of spending loads of money , you do know this season money we spent on players was from the tv money not are rich owners

You are only in the position you are because of a rich owner. Not a big fan base, not previous success, you are purely a rich owners play thing to advertise his airline and country. Stop burying your head in the desert sand.
You’ve spent £151m this summer which means in 10 years its 1.5 billion with Guardiola spending over £500m!!! since being citeh manager. All made possible by your owner.

You're right. This offer should be called "man city starts charging for tickets" as by your maths, the tickets were previously free for all for the past ten years and so were the kit and TV deals and merchandise.
ThePrisoner04/10/2019 14:21

The code is a one off by the way. Changes hourly in your Unidays app.

Your kit is sponsored by................your owners airline at an over inflated price hence why you have been investigated and fined in 2014 the sum of 49m with 32m suspended. Etihad, Aabar and Abu Dhabi all overpaid on their agreed contracts to help cover another short fall on the ffp. Internal emails showed citeh were aware of a 9.9m shortfall.
So probably best not to talk about citeh’s sponsorship deals seeing as due to breaking the ffp rules you’re facing a Champion league ban. No other British club has broken the rules. PSG and AC Milan are both facing similair bans.
It goes to show you are a small club spending more money than you actually generate from merchandise and tv deals even with breaking the rules.
Surely to be a big club you need to have actually won the champions league??

What has this got to do with a 50% off adult ticket price?
