I've not been (always wanted to) but I know from when I went to the States last time it was on our list to visit because of things like Salem (old witch town), Boston Tea Party ships, Fenway Park, loads of museums, Freedom Trail (passes loads of locations significant historically to the USA. These are just the really touristy things to do. I'm sure theres way more to do.

Very tempting

I went to Boston, went whale watching ..........17 bags of sick later never saw a whale. It's more about USA history really I found it mostly boring and I would not go again.

Close to booking but cant see much about it

Boston is fantastic - it very much feels like a weird US/UK crossover. Lots of English placenames.

ridiculously good price. so so tempted to book myself a long weekend.

Middle dates I think had the slightly shorter trips at the same price but generally they're 7 day flights.

Two weeks sounds deal. Its also a 6 day 14 hour walk to Niagra Falls so you might just make your return flight and spend some time watching the Falls.

Tempting.
Only just over 200 miles to New York and places like Rhode Island etc on route.
Possible to have a little tour over two weeks.

Would you bother going if you can't drive while over there ? Thanks .

Make it 3 weeks and get on the Amtrak Did Chicago to Memphis on the Amtrak overnight and it was cheaper than a flight and hotel for the night and a great experience. Plus you don't really lose any sightseeing time during the day going overnight this way.

Boston is great but traditional accomodation can be very expensive, to the extent that this great flight price still doesn't result in a cheap break. If you're thinking of going to NY, we took the train from Boston and it was a very simple/affordable trip.

Boston is well worth a visit! Especially at these prices! We went same time of year this May and it was lovely! Just to give inspiration, we did a 16 night trip, 2 nights Niagara Falls, 3 nights Toronto, 4 nights Boston and 6 nights NYC. In all honesty, that was a bit tiring! But would highly recommend doing something similar. Book return flights to Boston and do anything east coast USA! Boston and NYC would be great that time of year if you've not been.

We stayed the Hilton (not the posh level) outside Boston and got the Bus and train into the city every day. Like almost every country except the UK public transport is run for the public and is on time, clean and comfortable. The only danger is being picked up by the police for Jay walking but if your sensible that shouldn't happen. Best advice is to make sure your check the weather.

do bear in mind that you are flying with Air Tanker and not Thomas Cook. it is an ex RAF plane and a lot of them don't have seat back entertainment

at this price that's absolutely fine, i tend to sleep most of the time on long haul flights anyway.

I think that was the problem it was too much like a busy uk town but also all the lame stuff about US history got on my tits. I'm hoping to do the train thing from usa to canada one day. But other the Boston I've on been to Florida and Miami and you don't goo to them for the same reasons do you.

Apparently you can get a nice cup of tea there

I've seen a couple of reasonable options on AirBnB. Depends what you're after and locations though I suppose.

I went to Boston for 9 months during the summer in 2003. We lived on Commonwealth Ave just near Boston University. Had a great time. So much to do there. The markets are great. Home of lobster! Go to a baseball match, see Boston celtics play basketball, go to the cheers bar, loads of cruises, Chinatown, Harvard and Boston University. Loads of trips to do Cape Cod, New York.

Contemplating going again at that price!

I need a tour guide to come along and organise all to do's for me lol top flight price though!

It's telling me they don't fly thus route?!

The plane is only a couple of years old - so newer than most Airbus 330's, its also been re-configured to the same layout as the others in the fleet. It also has IFE on all seats.

A friend and I are going late April next year for 9 days, flying into New York and out of Boston. Managed it for £300 and going to drive/Amtrak between cities. Booked with Norwegian, great planes (dreamliners) with top entertainment systems. Definitely want to go and see Salem near Boston.
