wait will reduce by 70%/80% in the last 3 weeks so just hang on but do keep your eyes open. as everything must go.

Darzen

It wasn't off everything in my local that's closing down, only certain stuff. And considering it was closing down they seemed to have a lot of stuff they've never stocked before.

Not sure if it qualifies as a specific deal, but any opportunity to take advantage of price cuts is worth knowing in my book

This isn't the case at Stretford. It's a trial of a complete clearance with no stock transferred out whatsoever. There are some good bargains to be had.

OrangeNblack

Not true sorry. I work there. We have not been allowed to transfer any stock whatsoever and we will literally be running the regular stock down over the next 9 weeks.

People on Facebook were saying apparently all the good stuff is already been taken prior to this sale.

maddoglewis

It used to be good when it was the Corn Exchange before they redeveloped it into The Triangle. Now they've decided it's not working and have to redevelop it again which is not good for a listed building

Can't get it as not in Manchester

AngelBaby

That is very disturbing! I think the newspaper should be reprimanded for being insensitive!

a7mag3ddon

Haha what a world we live in where the front page of a newspaper has a free stuffed andrex dog as a headline above a school girl being involved in a sex attack on film.

alasdair67

Good deal. Should be local only, though. I've never seen the MEN on sale in Berkshire or Buckinghamshire.

There is nothing wrong with salford Thank you very much I have lived here for over 23 years and never had a bad experience from it.

kooltariq

Heat added. Just to confirm is the free parking only in the evening? Any such deals in London?

vjs8in

.. ha ha what a joke, Dont expect any shoppers at that time really.

MAIA

It's worth a visit imo. There is quite a lot going on, lots of history + some impressive new development too. There isn't much of a problem with the damage caused by the rioters, all cleaned up almost immediately. As deb8z said Salford may be another matter, although the trouble there seemed to be mainly around the shopping precinct and there is much more to Salford than the down at heel shopping precinct.

Wyld_Stallyns

Reading it back it sounds like i was having a dig but i wasn't. I've never been to Manchester so can't judge but it seems like whenever it's mentioned someone says something negative about it and i was just waiting for it to happen again. Kind of like as soon as someone mentions a PS3 or Xbox 360 all the fanboys come out and slate the other.
